ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR MONDAY, OCTOBER 7TH, 2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is World Habitat Day which is a time to reflect on the state of all cities and towns and the basic human right to adequate shelter. It aims to remind the world of its responsibility for the habitat of future generations.
This day was officially designated by the United Nations in 1986. We are to recognize the right for all of humanity to adequate shelter and create awareness for those who go without. More than 100 million people world wide are homeless.
We all have the power and responsibility to shape the future of our cities and towns.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side .
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.
Edward Everett Hale
I am blessed and have always had shelter, a home where all the basis were provided. We have clean water, heat from the cold and electricity. It’s sad to think there are so many that don’t have a home to call their own. We need to remember that when families have a stable place to call home they can stop getty by and start to thrive.
Habitat for Humanity is definitely a worthy cause to donate too.
It’s the beginning of a new week and time for some new thoughts and plans. It may be the day we can make a difference to someone else. I’m going to do my part by donating clothes. I have found things packed away that I haven’t worn for a couple of years and with winter coming, warm clothing is needed. It’s not new but gently used and not worn out so maybe someone else can get some use out of it. I’ve been putting this off, but today is the day to do it!
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Take time daily to reflect on how much you have. It may not be all that you want but remember someone, somewhere is dreaming to have what you have.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Were can all make a difference and show we care ....
Love the pictures and especially the shadow of the tree and your cute little porch setting.
Good idea to donate some of your winter clothes, Ma, that you haven't worn in a bit. Always needed for sure! Son helped build a house for Habitat one time. He enjoyed the experience.

Yes. For most of us in America, it's difficult to wrap our minds around those without utilities-on-demand and shelter from the elements. Habitat for Humanity is a wonderful outreach.
