ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR MONDAY, OCTOBER 28TH,2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Wild Foods Day which is a celebration of wild plants, fruits and vegetables. Humans have been eating plants and harvesting food from the wild for thousands of yers. Due ti a popular trend, will plants now often appear on menus in gourmet restaurants and raw food restaurants. will foods are free of preservatives and pesticides and eating them is part of an eco friendly lifestyle.
It’s a good day to take part in an age old tradition and take a walk in the woods to find some edible wild plants to eat. Make sure you learn how to properly identify and prepare wild plants before you consume them. You should also learn where to find and if they have any nutritional value. Happy Wild Foods Day.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Double, Double toil and trouble. Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
William Shakespeare
I do remember walking through the fields and picking wild strawberries when I was young but today’s wild food is not from the wild but wild food for Halloween. DS#6 and family always have a Halloween meal every year so I thought it would be fun to share their menu. They have mummy dogs, spider eggs, roasted caterpillars and grubs, dragon toenails and monster horns with blackened scabs washed down with some blood juice and potion. That is what the pictures are of today. Definitely some wild foods.
Some of the items may resemble fish sticks and pizza rolls. The others are a mystery to me. I can only say it’s fun for the whole family. It’s Interational Magic Week and all week long I’ll be sharing something different for Halloween. The babes have shared lots of pictures!
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Halloween wraps fear in innocence as though it were a slightly sour treat. Let terror, then be turned into a treat.

It's fun to be a little wild now and then!
What a cool meal your son and family have to celebrate Halloween! Always great to be imaginative with what we eat!

What a fun idea for the little ones' Halloween supper! Methinks their parents are pretty cool! This Spring we discovered wild strawberries growing at the back of our property, but we "city folk" resisted eating them.
