ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Happy Anniversary to DS#2 and his wife today!
A wedding anniversary is the celebration of love, trust and partnership, tolerance and tenacity. The order varies in any given year.
Paul Sweeney
May the dear Lord Bless you today and always!
Today is also Dance Like a Chicken Day which is a day to perform the Chicken Dance and is therefore a day for those who like it. The Chicken Dance is an oompah song and its associated fad dance is now a contemporary dance through out the world and is often played at weddings and beyond
The Chicken Dance has earned a fond place in the playlist of party dance songs, right up there with Hokey Pokey, the Electric Slide and the Macarena.
To celebrate, turn on this familiar tune and dance like a chicken!
Today is also Buttermilk Biscuit Day
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Nothing says lovin’ better than something from the oven.
Pillsbury Dough Boy
This son’s anniversary is another long distance celebration for me, and as always a card was sent out with good wishes and love to them both.
I’m a big fan of marriage and had a wonderful one, so am happy that this son is happily married. To me, it’s far better than going it on your own. Research has shown that marriage will make you healthier and gives you a longer, happier life.
Since it is also Buttermilk Biscuit Day, I looked for a new recipe to try out using biscuits. The southern classic sausage biscuit recipe with gravy takes breakfast biscuits to a new level
Sausage Biscuit Sandwiches with Gravy
1 can refrigerated Buttermilk Biscuits
5 uncooked breakfast sausage patties
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. milk
Heat oven to 400 degrees and bake biscuits as directed on can. Meanwhile in a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat for about 20 minutes, turning once until browned and thoroughly cooked. Transfer sausage to plate, cover and set aside.
Add butter to skillet and melt over medium heat. Add flour, salt and pepper. Cook until sauce is thickened and beginning to turn brown. Stir in milk. Heat to simmering, stirring frequently until thickened.
Split biscuits, place one sausage patty on top of biscuit bottom. Spoon a tablespoon of gravy over each patty. Replace biscuit top. Serve biscuits with remaining gravy.
I often have breakfast for dinner and this is on the menu for tonight.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Love one another and you will be happy. It’s as simple and as difficult at that.
Michael Leunig
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7063. for DS#2 and his wife, it’s their anniversary
7064. for biscuits, yum
7065. for marriage, good and good for you
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

ADVICE FOR TODAY
The secret of a happy marriage is finding the right person. You know they’re right if you love to be with them all the time.

Doing a dance today in celebration!
Happy anniversary to your son and DIL! So true that it is great to be in a happy marriage; so better to do life with! I do like sausage and biscuits with gravy; a yummy treat indeed!
LOL I haven't danced the chicken dance in years, but I can still remember doing it!

Always enjoy your recipes and am saving this one.
Happy anniversary to your #2 n' his pretty bride! I LOVE sausage and biscuits. Pour some yummy white gravy over it, then get out-a my way. (Except, after more than one I usually fall into a food coma on the couch. Ha!)
We love breakfast for dinner, too! Just 38 days until summer! Time is flying by.
You have such a wonderful family. I'm always glad to get to 'meet' them here on your blog.
