ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Lost Sock Memorial Day which commemorates lost socks. It is a good day to clean out your sock drawer and say goodbye to the wistful widows and sorrowful singles.
Many of us have a drawer full of socks some of which no longer have a parter. The reason for the disappearance of single socks is still one of the unsolved mysteries of the world.
Not all who wonder are lost.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Always look at what you have left. Never look at what you have lost.
Rober H Schuller
I have a drawer in my dresser dedicated to lost socks. I keep them, because sooner or later the lost sock appears. Just recently I found a missing one when I was changing out the Spring clothing. They seem to like to cling to things like pant legs and pajamas.
Sandal weather hasn’t begun here yet, and I’m still wearing socks, so chances are I’ll come up missing one or two again, but I will keep them in the lost sock drawer until the partner appears. It’s never empty, but a work in progress. Ha!
I won’t waste time looking for them, but know they will eventually show up and not where I expected them to be.
We’re on the downhill slide to the weekend now and progress is being made on the projects I started earlier in the week. Slowly but surely they will get done
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Whats taken for granted is lost. Don’t wait until you lose things to finally show appreciation.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7048. for socks, they keep my feet warm and cozy
7049. for a day to work on my indoor projects
7050. for life, it’s full of mysteries
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

ADVICE FOR TODAY
The things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end. If not aways in the way we expect.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Seek and you will find...
What a cute picture of the little one with the umbrella:) and the tablecloth in the last one is spectacular.
Adorable pictures you shared Ma! I'm always on the hunt for the occasional missed sock we have. It usually surfaces a week or two later. What is funny is I continually buy socks for the wee one and he always doesn't seem to have any. He likes to take off his socks and throw them (something they are trying to not get him to do) so the socks end up everywhere in the house, LOL :)

Things do turn up, don't they? Just about the time I give up and toss out the one with no mate! Last week I was putting clean sheets on Lillian's bed at the nursing home and what should fall out but a missing pair of panties!! We had a good laugh about that! They may still be in my purse - I need to check that out!
Oh my, that ice cream cone looks wonderful!
I totally chortled at your first sentence! I hadn't considered letting socks linger until their mate turns up. Rather, I used to put one on each hand and use them to dust. (Come to think of it, my blinds are in sore need of a rub-down...)
