ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is May Ray Day which is a day the celebrates the turning of seasons and encourages to get out and enjoy it. This day marks the end of the cold of winter and the rise of summer.
This is spring and that means to it’s time to welcome the sun back into the warming sky. Our bodies crave the sun and it’s actually essential to the utilization of Vitamin D, which is required for strong healthy bones. Today is our signal to get out in the sun and soak up some rays before it gets too hot.
To celebrate get out in the sun and go for a walk in the fresh air.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.
Steve Martin
Here in Northern Ohio, it is a rainy but warmer weekend. It’s been very hard to catch some rays. They say even the farmers are having a time of it trying to plant crops this spring. The fields are just too wet. It would be great if this day marked a turning point in our weather and we dried out a bit.
However we cannot control the weather and so we make the best of it. And when we get a sunny day, believe me when I say, I’ll be outside enjoying it. Sunshine on my shoulders always makes me smile.
The weather forecast is showing a few days in the 70’s but also includes some days in the 60’s for the week ahead. So as I head off to church today I will be taking along my umbrella along just in case.
Today’s pictures are of some sunny days outside last year. It seemed that every weekend had some sort of celebration and they all included some sunshine. Sweet memories for sure.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7078. for sunny days
7079. for umbrellas, they help
7080. for our farmers
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Sunshine makes me happy...
All great pictures! Amazing with how much rain you all have had if farmers can't get out to plant the seeds! Here we are experiencing cooler than normal temperatures compared to last year. We've only had two days so far where the temps have gone over 100. Enjoying it but the pool hasn't heated up like it did last year when we were swimming in it already; now its only 75 degrees. Too cold for me!

Everything looks so green!
Ironic. Betty just remarked how Phoenix is experiencing cooler-than-normal temps, and we're the opposite. Day before yesterday the mercury hit 91 and we may break a record by week's end. It hurt me to engage the a/c yesterday, but I still give thanks for that technology. Sometimes I wonder how my grandparents (and theirs!) lived without it!
