ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Star Wars Day which is a day to celebrate the Star Wars culture and honor the films. Star Wars is an American epic space film series created by George Lucas. The first film in the series was originally released on May 25th, 1977 and became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon.
Since the phrase, May the Force be with you, is a famous quote from the movie, fans commonly say, May the Fourth be with you, on this day.
Today is also International Firefighters Day and the Kentucky Derby Day.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I find your lack of faith disturbing.
Darth Vader
There are several Star Wars fans in my family and a lot of the kids like to play with light sabers. Some of the kids are of the adult variety too. Ha ! The pictures today are from one of my grandson’s birthday parties where the theme was Star Wars.
As it is Saturday I’m cooking today for the weekend. And since Cinco De Mayo day is tomorrow I’m going to go with a Mexican theme.
Easy Crescent Taco Bake
Makes 6 servings
1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
1 lb lean ground beef
3/4 c. chunky salsa
2 tbsp. taco seasoning mix
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Unroll dough, separate into 8 triangles. Place in ungreased 10 inch pie plate. Press over bottom and sides to form crust.
Cook beef over medium high heat stirring occasionally until thoroughly browned; drain. Stir in salsa and taco seasoning; simmer 5 minutes. Spoon meat mixture in crust lined pan; sprinkle with cheese.
Bake about 15 minutes or until crust is deep golden brown and cheese is melted. Serve topped with lettuce, tomato, and sour cream if desired.
More rain in the forecast for today, so try to make your own sunshine!
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday! May the 4th be with you!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

May the 4th be with you !
What a cute theme for the party! I like that recipe, I have several that use crescent rolls. My husband this morning said "May the Forth be with you". I had forgotten about it until he mentioned it. Have a good Saturday, Ma.

Someone's parents are sure artistic! Your grandson must have been thrilled! I've never seen a single Star Wars, but love the wholesome entertainment it provides the little and not-so-little ones.
