Today is National Nurses Day which is the first day of Nurses Week. It begins each year on May 6th and ends on May 12th, Florence Nightingale’s birthday. Today we celebrate the meaningful work that nurses do each and every day.
Remember to thank all the nurses in your life for their amazing work and dedication. Happy Nurses Day!
This week is also Be Kind to Animals Week.

Nurses are wonderful people and do so much. They are on duty all over the world assisting doctors and helping the sick or injured get well again.
I’m going to be out early this morning to meet up with a friend for breakfast at 8 o’clock. Although I’m up early most ever day, I’m rarely out and about before noon these days, so this is quite unusual for me. But it’s a chance to see an old friend, that I rarely get to see, so I’m making the effort.
They say that rain will be headed our way again tomorrow, so I’m also hoping to get the yard work done. Not my usual Monday anyway you look at it, but definitely a good one!
Today’s pictures are just a few of my house taken this past week. Thankfully, I don’t have any nurse pictures to share, which is a good thing, it means everyone is healthy.

So cheery pictures you shared with us, Ma! I hope you had a nice breakfast with your friend. I do appreciate nurses; they are the backbone on the hospital and do a lot to keep patients the most comfortable that they can be.

We have a special love for nurses. NICU nurses, Baylor nurses when Louis Dean had his two heart surgeries, orthopedic nurses and all nurses everywhere! They are often times angels!
Hope you had a nice visit with your friend over breakfast! I had a friend over for lunch and it was very special. Now for a teeny weeny nap....
