ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is National Cobbler Day which is dedicated to this delicious tart dessert that many enjoy with ice cream. In the U.S. a cooler refers to a variety of dishes that consist of fruit filling, cherry being a popular choice, covered with a batter, biscuit or pie crust that is then baked, Some cobblers have both a top and bottom crust.
Cobblers originated in the early British American colonies. It was because of the lack of suitable ingredients and proper cooking equipment that the setters were unable to make their traditional suet puddings so they improvised and covered a stewed filling with a layer of uncooked biscuits or dumplings.
Cobbers were often served as the main dish of the meal. So to celebrate today, bake a delicious cobbler and serve it as the main course for dinner tonight!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Life is just a bowl of cherries.
Old Proverb
While having a cobbler for dinner is something I wouldn’t ordinarily do, today may be a first for me. I’ve got an easy recipe to make one and today is the day to make it.
Recipe for Easy Cherry Cobbler.
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup milk
1 can cherry pie filling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour melted butter in the bottom of a w.2.5 quart baking dish. In a medium bowl whisk together flour, salt, baking powder and milk. Pour batter over the butter. Don’t stir. Pour cherry pie filling over the batter. Bake about 50 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

It’s been another busy week here at my house and the next one looks to be even busier too. Busier but different as I get the opportunity to spend some days with one of my little granddaughters. Hopefully there will be lots of pictures to share.
Today is my day to finish up a lot of things here. I’ve folded laundry to put away. Dishes in the dishwasher, clean and waiting to be put away. My art project to finishing up and put out to dry too. It’s always nice to put on the finishing touches to a great week. The finishing touch with a cherry on top!
Today’s pictures are a few of my grandchildren this spring and the last piece of my artwork from last week.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!

ADVICE FOR TODAY
Life is just a bowl of cherries, don’t take it serious, it’s mysterious. Life is just a bowl of cherries, so live and laugh, and laugh at love, love a laugh, laugh and love.
Bob Fosse
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

You do such nice artwork Ma! Great pictures of your grandchildren! I like apple cobblers with vanilla ice cream on them. So tasty!

Cherry cobbler was one of the first things I learned to make; not sure why I stopped. Love the sign!
I love seeing your beautiful family! And I LOVE your art work! I just finished basing in four paintings and now it’s all packed up and ready to take home. I’ve missed a few posts while we’ve been in the country....sketchy Internet! I need to see what art work I missed!
