ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR TUESDAY, DECEMBER 31ST,2019
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is the last day of the year and Make Up Your Mind Day. If there are still some things left of the passing year that you are not sure of then Make Up Your Mind Day is your chance to bring them to an end. Different options come along with the need of a decision. Being unable to decide is a status of stagnation and should be ended as soon as possible.
When you are stuck between two possibilities it can be difficult to figure out the best option but the new year will be much easier to start when you have made up your mind on everything.
It’s a day to encourage people to clean up with untaken decisions and start the New year with a concrete direction to follow.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be.
Abraham Lincoln
I’ve had to make many hard decisions in the last few years, but I’ve made up my mind, that they’ve been good ones. I have no regrets and look forward to every day. New Year’s Eve is when we make resolutions for the new year and I only hope that I do better than the year before.
To do the best I can with what I’ve got is my goal. I may not be the best but I’m trying and won’t give up.
I’ve had to take to using a walker while I’ve been on vacation. There’s been a lot of walking and it helps me to go a little further than I usually could. It’s on loan from DSIL’s mom and I’m so thankful I’ve had the extra help when I’ve needed it. I’m not ashamed to admit I’m getting older and take advantage of all the help I can get.
I remember when my mom was my age and she refused to use any help. She’d rather stay home than have a walker of a wheelchair for help. I’m not my mother and want to keep going as long as I can. No sitting at home for me. I’ve already made plans to spend my spring break with DS#2 and his family. After a long cold winter, I’ll be ready for a trip to some where warmer.
We’ll be celebrating our family Christmas along with New Years Eve this evening. DS#4 os making a breakfast of biscuits and sausage gravy this morning which will be ready to eat about 10:00 .Then the boys are golfing while the rest of us enjoy some pool time.
Dinner will be baked ham, beans, lasagna, sausage bread. There will also be a fruit tray, summer sausage, and cheese and crackers, some mac and cheese and potato salad. Everyone is bringing something to share.
We are doing a white elephant gift exchange which is fun and I have some gifts of my own to give. I’ll be able to show what I painted for every one this Christmas as they’ll be opening them this evening. Alll except DS#3 and his family and I guess I’ll have to mail them to them when I get home.
Today’s pictures are of the first day of 2019 at my house. I make pork roast and sauerkraut for those that could come for dinner and tomorrow I’ll be doing the same. Making dinner for those than can come.
I hope you all have aTERRIFIC Tuesday! Happy New Year’s Eve!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
It’s your choice to be happy. Make up your mind to enjoy this day, to have a blessed, prosperous, victorious year. You may have some setbacks and your circumstances may change, but don’t let that change your mind. Keep it set on happiness

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Let today mark a new beginning for you. Give yourself permission to say NO without feeling guilty, mean or selfish. Anybody who gets upset and or expects you to say YES all of the time clearly doesn’t have your best interest at heart. Aways remember: you have a right to say NO without having to explain yourself. Be at peace with your decision.
