ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Cousins Day which is dedicated to the wonderful people who helped us endure all our family get togethers and holidays. They were there to keep us company at the kids table and for some were the siblings they never had.
Cousins are our Aunts and Uncles children. If you have cousins, your cousins have cousins too. That makes for a whole lot of celebrating going on.
Cousins Day is the perfect opportunity to say thank you to your cousins for all they do for you !
A big THANK YOU to all my cousins today !
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Cousins are friends that you will love forever.
Constance Richards
The very first picture today is of just part of my cousins. I was taking the picture so am not in it. A couple of years ago one of my aunts and an uncle decided that it had been far to long since we cousins had got together and had us all over to my aunt’s house. This is not all of them, several were missing. It was wonderful seeing so many that I’d not seen in years. This was only the cousins on my mom’s side of the family, I have every bit as many on my dad’s side of the family too.
We were close when we were younger, but after we grew up and had families of our own, we rarely saw each other. I have a lot of good memories of the times we spent together. Especially with the ones that were close to my age.
This same aunt had her 90th birthday this year and I got to see a few of my cousins at her birthday party too. Her picture is shown below. It was great to hear what some of them had to say about what they remembered of our childhood too. Hopefully there will be many other happy occasions we’ll have to be together.
The picture directly above is of most of my family at our reunion a few years ago. We were at the Duck Tape Festival. And the float behind us was made entirely of Duck Tape. Hopefully their time together will give them many good memories in the years to come too.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Your Cousins are usually the first friends you have as a child. no one will ever understand your crazy family like your cousins even if you haven’t talked to them lately .
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6188. for cousins, we share many happy childhood memories
6189. for my aunt, making sure we keep in touch
6190. for my grandchildren, they have a lot of cousins
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Families are like branches on a tree. We grow in different directions, yet our roots remain as one.
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

I do love being part of a big family and am very thankful for all of them!
90 years young … that's wonderful! Her smile reminds me a little of your own, Pam.
So glad of your reminder about Cousins Day. Your team members look so happy!
I uploaded a couple of OLD pictures of me and my cousins onto FB and wished two (with whom I'm still in contact) a Happy C.D. What fun seeing what we looked like as little ones!
Your aunt looks wonderful for being 90 years young! What a great picture of your cousins and then your children's children with their cousins. I mentioned before that I have so many cousins I've never met, but will have a chance to see a few I know in a few months at the wedding of my niece. It will be nice to reconnect :)
