ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Workaholics Day, which is a day to step back and take it easy. Workaholics are persons addicted to their work. While most are enjoying the Fourth of July holiday with a long weekend, the workaholic is off working on some project.
While dedication to our work is an admirable trait, a healthy work/life balance is also important. All work and no play can be harmful to the mental and physical health of workers.
If you are a workaholic take this day of reevaluate your life and take time off for yourself. You have plenty of time to finish your work tomorrow. Take an afternoon nap or read a book and break the habit.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The time to relax is when you don’t have time for it.
Jim Goodwin
It’s good to have a day to remind us that all work and no play is not good for any of us. Work shouldn’t be our whole life and taking time to rest, relax and refresh can only help us to do our work better.
Summertime is when most take vacations and it’s good to take a break and get away from work if and when possible.
Today is like another Monday, and it’s back to work for a lot of us. I don’t leave the house to go to work since I’m retired, but still there are things to do. The holiday is over for me and there are things that must be done. I am definitely not a workaholic. I work a little and rest a lot.
We still have a chance for rain in the forecast so I’m waiting to do the yard work until tomorrow when the sun is supposed to shine. It’s also supposed to cool off a little and that will make being outside a whole lot nicer too.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6131. for rest and relaxation, good for all
6132. for balance, a little work and a little play
6133. for rainy days, a good time to get the house work done
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

My motto: work a little and rest a lot !
I do enjoy working but was never a workaholic. I did enjoy and still enjoy my downtime from work and try to remove thoughts of it from my mind when not at it :) Glad to hear it will be cooling down for you all; I bet that is a relief!

I still believe my dad passed way too early because he didn't know how to relax. Seriously. For a while, my son exhibited some of the same 'workaholic' traits; I was so concerned he'd have a heart attack, too. I told him, "Daddy always worked so long and hard so I'd have everything I ever wanted. Truth is, I'd rather have known him longer."
Thankfully, my son has taken a back seat and (I think) is happier for it.
Work a little, play a little. Life is and should be a balance! I sometimes need to make myself stop and just relax. Life is far too short!! Love and hugs and gratitude for all that you share with us! You're a beautiful light on the blogging sphere Pam!!! ♥♥♥
