ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is All or Nothing Day which is not a holiday to be taken lightly. It’s a time to take risks and live on the edge. To do something you’ve always wanted to do.
All or Nothing Day urges people to break through their barriers, ignore their fears that hold them back and make a big commitment to a better life.
Try something new, seek an adventure, and give this day all you’ve got!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
To be alive, to be able to see, to walk…it’s all a miracle. I have adapted the technique of living life from miracle to miracle.
Author Rubinstein
No matter whatever I’m doing, I always try to give it my all. If it’s worth doing then it’s worth doing my best. It’s truly all or nothing for me.
Yesterday I was the recipient of a brand new kitchen faucet which is shown in the picture above. Sadly I found that the shelves below my sink were dripping wet when I went to get a garbage bag out. I called our trusty maintenance department and they quickly had someone out to make repairs. It wasn’t a pipe that was leaking but the faucet itself. So it was replaced, but the job of cleaning up was left to me.
While I was waiting for the work to be done, I surfed the internet for something to do with the large zucchini DD had given me from her garden. I found several recipes I liked and after all the clean up was done, I mixed one of them up and used one of the zucchini I had on hand. Tomorrow I may use another one. There are truly a lot of ways to use zucchini.
This is the recipe I used yesterday:
Bisquick Zucchini Pie
A picture of the finished product is in the picture below and the very last picture for today is of the finished slate I painted earlier this month.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!

Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Do all the good you can
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as every you can.
John Wesley
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

I'm going to give this day all I've got !
That zucchini pie looked delicious! Zucchini is such a versatile vegetable. I saw something on Facebook the other day where someone had shaved the zucchini into slices and then mixed up on the stove ground meat with corn and salsa, filled the zucchini slices with the mixture, rolled them up, put them into a baking pan, covered with enchilada sauce and cheese and baked it. Like having enchiladas without the fattening corn tortillas. Looked yummy!
There are great benefits to renting over buying, I bet every time there is a repair needed you are glad you aren't a home owner any more.
betty
Cute slate! I particularly enjoy your cute lettering.
I'm seeing several recipes for zucchini this week; yours sounds (and looks) yummy.
PS - I think I gave it all I've got (plus a smidge too much) on the walking trail this morning. Ugh.
I like the thought about living life from miracle to miracle. I think if you live your life like it is amazing, then it WILL be! I take nothing for granted. Your zucchini recipe looks delicious. I was gifted with some yellow ones. I need go do something with them! God bless xoxo
