ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today we celebrate July’s full moon known as Full Buck Moon. This name comes from our Native American and Colonial past when the moon was used to track the seasons. Bucks are growing new antlers at this time. July’s Full Moon was also know as the Thunder Moon, because thunderstorms are so frequent during this month.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
*¨*•♫♪ The moon belongs to everyone,
the best things in life are free. ♫♪*¨*•
I don’t have many full moon pictures in my photo album, so today I’m sharing a few pictures of the lake here in our community. Its a sight for sore eyes on a hot summer day.
We had some thunderstorms roll by last evening and we got a lot of rain, so today is going to be on the pleasant side of things as far as temps go. We’re to be in the upper 70’s with a partly cloudy sky.
It’s Friday and the end of another work week and it’s my day to get a hair cut. I’ve been trying to keep it shorter for summer and it has really grown out and a hair cut is badly needed.
DD and I may do some shopping afterward for the family get together tomorrow. Not everyone will be there, but there will be plenty of food to share with those than can come. For me there is no better way to celebrate than with family. And I’m thinking every party needs some cake too!
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
O Infinite Father, I’m grateful to Thee
For the moon and the stars and deep rolling sea;
for beauties of nature, where e’re they may be…
For the handclasp of friends, so firm and so true;
For sunrise and sunset and glistening dew;
The fleecy white clouds and the Heavens, so blue;
For these wonderful gifts, dear Lord, I thank you!

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6197. for a full moon which reminds me we are all under the same sky
6198. for a hair cut, which feels good
6199. for plenty of rain, no drought here
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Promises are like the full moon, if they are not kept at once they diminish day by day.
Proverb
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

Have a happy day. It's FriYAY!
That is a pretty lake! I keep my hair a bit shorter during the summer too; I don't like it on my neck when it is hot. Makes me feel hotter. I'll have to look for the full moon tonight after it gets dark.
betty
Those lakes are a great visual; and I wonder if the ducks/geese aren't comedic to watch. Having someone else wash and cut our hair is wonderfully relaxing, isn't it?
You are so right, there is no better way to celebrate than with family. I wish mine were not so far away! My hair is quite long now, but that's not a problem really, I either just braid it or put it up. I do miss the luxury of having my hair washed and seen to by a hair dresser, but we don't have the budget for it anymore. Beautiful picture of the lake! I miss the full moon. I was asleep! xoxo
