ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Forgiveness Day which is a time to forgive and be forgiven. The world will be a better place for this day.
Troubles and disputes should be ended on Forgiveness Day and people should get along with each other again. Forgiving is a relieving process and not only for today but something everyone should do from time to time.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Forgiveness is a funny thing. It warms the heart and cools the sting.
William Arthur Ward
I believe we are forgiven as we forgive others and with that in mind I think I’ve forgiven all. I’ve even had the hard task of forgiving myself at times. None of us are perfect, we are only human, and we need to let go of those mistakes and move on. Life is too short to hold on to grudges.
I don’t ever want to waste my time by holding on to hurts or anger. I forgive and forget and love the life I live. I don’t have to approve of everything people do in order to love them. Life is so much better when we just love one another. We need to focus on the things in life that really matter.
Yesterday was mostly cloudy day here and today will be another one. We also have chance of showers moving our way too. On the bright side we’ll be somewhat warmer. We were only in the low 70’s yesterday. Today we’ll be in the low 80’s.
I made up some Salisbury steak to have for dinner yesterday and that is what I’ll be having again today. I do love leftovers. Cook once and eat it twice or in my case three times. The rest will go in the freezer.
I made mashed potatoes, a banana salad and heated up some corn to go with it and it was just the comfort food I needed.
Here’s the recipe in case you might want to make your own.
Salisbury Steak
2 lbs ground beef
1 cup oats
2 eggs
1/2 c. green pepper, diced
1/2 c. onion, diced
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 can cream of mushroom soup, diluted
Mix all ingredients except for the mushroom soup. Form patties and brown in skillet. Once browned lower heat, add diluted mushroom soup and let simmer slowly, stirring occasionally. You can serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
The pictures today are of some flowers growing wild in a field back of DS#4’s house. They know I especially love sunflowers.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself.
Suzanne Somers
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

6105. for leftovers, delicious
6106. for warm summer days
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Sunflowers always make me SMILE.
I’m counting down the days to fall with you! Although I cheat and claim September First as my own personal holiday!
You spoke wise words about forgiveness......
That Salisbury steak looks wonderful and I am saving the recipe to make it this week.
I love the way you look at and live Life!
Reading your blog is a great way to start anyone’s day! Thank you!
That recipe does look delicious and your dinner yummy! Sunflowers always make me smile, especially the taller that they grow!
It is always good to forgive. I'm sometimes good at forgiving, but sometimes have trouble letting go. Need to work on that I think!

A great post and a reminder to always be thankful. I can forgive pretty easily because I need so much forgiveness myself! lol
I have not had Salisbury steak in about 100 years. Now I am craving it.
Thanks for playing along by picking a table today. I hope you have a great afternoon/evening. xo Diana
Like NanaDiana, I've not had Salisbury steak in forever … but I recall loving it. I'd never heard of a banana salad. Going to Google that now!
Your Salisbury Steak looks fabulous Pam! YUM!! I am bookmarking this one! Forgiveness was something I struggled with for a while. Mostly for myself. It is hard sometimes to forgive yourself for the stupid things you have done. I think I have finally managed to do that however. I have always been quick to forgive others. Love and hugs and many thanks for all that you share with us! oxox
