ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Welcome Summer !
93 Days until Fall
Sunrise: 5:55 am
Sunset: 9:05 pm
Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Finally Summer Day. The Summer Solstice, the first day of Summer, is the longest day of the year and the amount of daylight only goes down from here on.
The first day of summer is said to be when the Sun reaches it’s highest point in the sky. Because the sun is highest in the sky on this day, you’ll notice that your shadow at noon will be the shortest it will be all year.
It’s time to enjoy vacations, great weather, pools, baseball and every thing else that goes along with the season. It’s time to grab your favorite beverage and enjoy the summer season, because for many of us it is all too short.
Happy Summer !
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Summer is the time when one sheds one’s tensions with one’s clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all’s right with the world.
Ada Louise Huxtable
While Spring is my favorite season, Summer has to be my 2nd favorite. When you have winters as long and as cold as we do, you really appreciate the warmth. I’d rather be hot in the summer than cold in the winter. Due to the nice weather, the time goes by faster than ever. We do a lot more and for many it’s a time to travel and visit with friends we don’t see when the weather gets bad. It’s a great time for family reunions too.
DD has offered their place for a family get together later on in July. With everyone so busy I’m not sure how many can come, but whoever can will have a great time. With the exception of a few birthday parties, too often we go from Easter to Thanksgiving without being together as a family. For me family time is always a good time.
Today is supposed to be sunny so it’s my day to get outside here and cut the grass. We have had regular rain so it continues to be green and growing.
Today’s pictures are of some summer fun a few of my family members have shared. We all appreciate the sunny weather.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday! Happy Summer !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
There shall be eternal summer in the grateful heart
Celia Thaxter
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6089. for sunshine and warmth, it’s Summer !
6090. for green grass and green trees, every thing is growing
6091. for the great outdoors, I love it
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

It's going to be some lazy summer days ahead for me!
Happy Summer to you too, MA. I love your summertime pictures. Lovingly, Andrea xoxo
Happy Summer!! 😀😃😎🎆🎇🍧🍦🌞🏄
Summer days are the best! Was just thinking about that this morning. Even in the hot weather here, there is just something so lazy about summer and ways to fill the days with cold drinks, dunks in pools, etc. Kids have been out from school almost a month here, hard to believe in about 6 weeks they'll be back in session the first part of August.

I'm trying to appreciate Summer more … really, I'm trying! (lol) Even with Alabama's humidity, it doesn't seem as warm (as Arizona). 'Loving the GREEN, everywhere I look!
