ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Hug Holiday Day which encourages us to give hugs to this who need attention. Especially the elderly, sick or invalid and lonely people who need the good feelings provided by a caring hug.
A hug can speak louder than words. A simple hug can change a person’s day, emotions and even their life. It has been scientifically prove that hugs have positive effects on health. Studies have shown that hugging can result in reduced blood pressure and has a preventive effect against depression.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
We need 4 hugs a day for survival. We need 8 hugs a day for maintenance. We need 12 hugs a day for growth.
Virginia Satir
I love hugs and the great feeling you get when hugging. I like to get hugs and give hugs. So here is a big (((HUG))) from me to you all. One disadvantage of living alone is that getting a hug a day isn’t possible, but I do try to make up for it when I can.
Today’s pictures are of some the great hugs that my family share. When they are around there is always plenty of hugging going on for sure. I’m so thankful for them.
It’s time to get ready for the hot weekend that is coming our way. My aim is to keep cool. We don’t have too many 90 degree days here in Ohio, but when we do it seems they come packed with lots of humidity too. When you put heat and humidity together you get a heat index of around 100 degrees and that is time for me to stay in and keep cool.
Not much cooking at all is going to be going on here at my house. It’s time for salads and sandwiches here.
Tuna salad makes for an excellent sandwich filling or you can mound it on lettuce leaves or mixed greens for a lighter lunch. You can even core tomatoes and filled them with tuna salad for a summer appetizer.
Tuna Salad
2 cans tuna, drained and flaked
2 large hard cooked eggs
3 to 4 tbsp. mayonaise
1 tbsp. dill relish
2 tbsp. finely chopped onion
salt and pepper
Combine the tuna, chopped eggs, 3 tbsp. mayo, the dill relish and onion. Add salt and pepper to taste. (I like to use lemon pepper in mine )
Serve on buns or lettuce leaves for a great meal.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

(((HUGS)))
Sending lots of hugs. 😀
I love receiving hugs ….. and since moving to the South I feel more comfortable initiating them. I was sort of surprised in Phoenix to know several people who professed they didn't enjoy being hugged; being touched.
Now that I don't have to worry about anyone in the office being bothered by the smell, I'm going to add a couple cans of tuna to my shopping list! It's been forever since I enjoyed a good tuna salad … thanks for the suggestion!
BIG HUGS!
That’s the way I make tuna salad, too!
My Summer needs a lot of hugs. It’s hard to hug yourself when you live alone. She’s been enjoying her stay in Puerto Rico and all the hugs from Rayne.
Triple digits here in Texas plus killer humidity! It’s awful!
Sending you a hug, Ma! I like tuna, unfortunately, my tummy doesn't these days. I do miss those tuna fish sandwiches. Do keep cool and hydrated!
betty
First things first: here's a great big ***HUG*** from me to you.
Second, I think I'm gonna make some tuna salad for lunch. It's one of our favorites... (Makes our cats happy, too!)
Have a wonderful weekend. Stay cool!
Enjoying my hug from you and here is one in return. That is the downside to living alone. Fewer hugs!! Tuna salad is a favorite of mine too. And now that Harley is gone I can have it more often. Have a great Friday ma!
