ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

It’s Computer Security Day. These days, electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, and computers make up an important part of our everyday lives. While communication has become easier and more efficient than ever before, these technological advancements have brought with them new concerns about privacy and security.
One very important thing to do for your online security is to have strong passwords and keep them updated regularly, as this reduces the chances of your personal data falling into the wrong hands. And don’t use the same password over and over for every online account you have, this ensures that if someone manages to get into one of your accounts, then they can access all of your accounts. Bad idea.
A strong password is one that contains a random collection of letters, uppercase and lowercase, numbers and symbols.
So make strong passwords, don’t recycle them, and update them regularly.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side

These days it’s hard to feel secure and privacy seems to be a thing of the past. More than one of us has had our email hacked and fictitious emails sent that appear to be from us, but are definitely not.
I have a virus scanner on my computer that is supposedly keeping it secure and I always do the software updates as they often involve security. We really need to be safe in what we read and be aware of what internet scams that are out there. Remember to never give out any personal information of any kind.
Today’s pictures are not of computers at all of but the start of what decorations I’ve put up here at my house. I may do a little more if I find something new that catches my eye, but for now everything I had packed away in my storage bins is out and about somewhere here.
I’ve had the Christmas music playing on the radio since Thanksgiving day. It keeps me moving when I need it. Along with decorating also comes cleaning and slowly but surely I’m getting that done too.
We may get a little rain later on today but that is preferred over the alternative which is S - - -. These days clear roads free from ice and snow are appreciated as we’re quite busy enough.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
National Mousse Day!
Mousse is a divine dessert made from egg whites and cream. Mousse is the French word for foam. It’s a fitting name for this light, fluffy, and decadent confection!
Chocolate mousse was a specialty in French restaurants during the 1800s, but now it can be found in restaurants and households worldwide. Popular variations include different kinds of chocolate, nut, and fruit flavors.
It would be tempting for me to make this easy dessert today but then I still have a piece of pecan pie leftover from Thanksgiving.
EASY CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
2 c. whipping cream
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
2 oz. melted, unsweetened good chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
Whip the cream, sugar, and salt together until stiff. Add chocolate and vanilla and mix well. Chill and freeze. Serve with whipped cream. Makes 8 small portions.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Treat your password like your toothbrush. Don't let anybody else use it, and get a new one every six months.
