26 DAYS UNTIL WINTER
Sunrise: 7:26 am

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Tie One On Day which traditionally takes place the day before Thanksgiving, It’s a day to show the people around you that you are thankful for them and to give from the heart. Tomorrow, we will give thanks for what we have. Today, you get the opportunity to put the ‘Give' back into Thanksgiving, by doing one small good deed for someone.
Bake a fresh loaf of bread. Wrap it up in a brand new apron. Tuck an encouraging note or a prayer into the pocket of the apron. You can give this to someone less fortunate or a loved one.
Giive from the heart on Thanksgiving Eve through a gesture of kindness and then give thanks on Thursday.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Gratitude takes three forms: a feeling in the heart, an expression in words, and a giving in return.
John Wanamaker
Things are beginning to look and smell like Thanksgiving around here. DDIL#4 has made pumpkin pies and homemade noodles which is a tradition started by her mom for Thanksgiving and DS#4 and #2 will be making sausage bread today which is a family tradition that I started years ago. Of course all the family gets involved in both. The pictures today are of them making sausage bread last year.
I’ve lots to be thankful for.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday! It’s Thanksgiving Eve.
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
Today is National Cashew Day, which is a day to snack on some cashews or cook them into your favorite recipe!
I found this salad recipe to share for today’s food holiday.

DRESSING:
1 c. mayonnaise

COUNTING MY GIFTS
For today and its blessings, I owe the world an attitude of gratitude.
Clarence E. Hodges
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
4435. for family and traditions to pass on
4436. for nuts to snack on, cashews are nutritious
4437. for lots and lots of hugs
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving.
W. T. Purkiser
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma
