90 DAYS UNTIL SUMMER

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is National Goof Off Day. Now here's a day that just about everybody can relax and enjoy. It's a day to do anything and everything except what you're supposed to do today.
Assuming you won't get in trouble at work or school, go ahead and play some golf, or play games all day. Spend extra time surfing the net. Go out and spend the day window shopping with your favorite friend. Or, just read sit down and read a book or watch TV. This day is set aside for you to do anything you enjoy doing.
A few years ago, a survey was performed to identify the most popular activity for goofing off. The top activity was playing video games. Who conducted the survey? Nintendo, no surprise. Nowadays, the most popular Goof Off Day activity is likely playing games on the internet, or on our Smart Phones.
Let loose, have fun, and let your inner Goofy show!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The best things in life are silly.
Scott Adams
I have to admit that since I’ve retired from work, I’ve done plenty of goofing off. I pretty much do what I want and when I want. After working for many many years it feels really good not to be on any type of schedule and I’ve not worn a watch since I stopped working. There are times I check my phone to see what time it is though. After being on a tight schedule for many years with work and family, it feels great.
When you are working and raising a family time is dear and everyone should remember it’s good to goof off now and then. It’s a great stress reliever. This coming Thursday I’m supposed to be spending the day with my daughter and DDIL#5 just goofing off. We have planned a trip to the outlet mall for Easter shopping. They are both very busy mom’s and are looking forward to a girls day out. I'm hoping the weather cooperates.
One thing I don’t do is play internet games of games on my phone. I have too many other things I’d rather do than play games, unless they are board games with the family around the dining room table. Those are the kind of games I love.
Even if it’s only for 15 minutes, try to spend a little time today just goofing off. It’s good for you and for others too. Being silly or goofy is a very important part of allowing yourself to enjoy life in the moment.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Every now and then go away and have a little relaxation. To remain constantly at work will diminish your judgment. Go some distance away, because work will be in perspective and a lack of harmony is more readily seen.
Leonardo DaVinci
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3700. for time to Goof Off, I do a lot of it
3701. for books, I love to read
3702. for retirement, I have plenty of time to do what I want
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
The time to relax is when you don't have time for it.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

I like a goof off day :) I also like your advice to take as little as 15 minutes goofing off today. I don't wear a watch but rely on the computer or the clocks around the house to keep on schedule. We packed the clock I usually look at and its been hard adjusting, I keep turning my head to check the time, only to see an empty place. Sounds like a fun shopping trip with your daughter and daughter in law :)
betty
We just walked in the wind... does that count as goofing off???
