81 DAYS UNTIL SUMMER
Sunrise: 7:13 am

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Crayola Crayon Day. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet…no, we’re not talking about a rainbow, but rather just some of the 400 different shades of crayon colors Crayola has produced since 1903! What a perfect opportunity to celebrate its bright and colorful addition to the world with Crayola Crayon Day!
Why not let your inner child out on Crayola Crayon Day? Find a coloring book and a box of Crayola crayons, and get to work. It’s a therapeutic and enjoyable way to pass some time, and you can even hang your finished picture on your fridge when you’re done!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Colors are the smiles of nature.
Leigh Hunt
Having lots of grandchildren means that over the years I’ve had lots of artwork hanging on my refrigerator. Now coloring is definitely not just for children. I’ve seen a wide variety of adult coloring books in the stores. I’ve been tempted to get one for myself, but so far I’ve not.
With Spring in the air, our part of the world is becoming a lot more colorful. There are many trees beginning to bloom and our daffodils are spreading sunshine all around the house here. Tiny leaves are also beginning to pop out on the trees. I love seeing them return. Winter is a drab time of year without much color but Spring seems to abound in it.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Of all God's gifts to the sighted man, color is holiest, the most divine, the most solemn.
John Ruskin
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3727. for crayons, they are a lot of fun
3728. for color, it brightens the world
3729. for refrigerators, a good place to hang your art
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box.
Robert Fulghum
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

It is interesting how the color names have changed over the years for crayons. It was always so exciting to get a new box of crayons for the start of the school year :) I have seen where adult coloring books are becoming a favorite new past time; haven't tried it yet, but I do remember enjoying coloring with my kids when they were growing up. It is relaxful.
betty
We have the crayons out pretty often here :-)
