Welcome Spring !
Today is also called the spring equinox. Spring is one of the four temperate seasons, the transition period between winter and summer. Spring and springtime refer to the season, and broadly to ideas of rebirth, renewal and regrowth.
In spring, the axis of the Earth is increasing its tilt toward the Sun and the length of daylight rapidly increases for the relevant hemisphere. The hemisphere begins to warm significantly causing new plant growth to spring forth, giving the season its name.
According to an article I read Spring began here in my part of the world at 12:30 am this morning. Many people don't know what they are saying when taking about start of spring. Because they don't know a difference in between the 1st of spring and 1st spring day. So let me tell you. The first day of spring is one thing, and the first spring day is totally another kind of thing. The difference between them is sometimes as great as a month.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The year's at the spring,
And day's at the morn;
Morning's at seven;
The hill-side's dew-pearled;
The lark's on the wing;
The snail's on the thorn;
God's in his Heaven—
All's right with the world!
Robert Browning
It’s time to kiss old Winter goodbye and welcome warmer sunnier days. There are all kinds of signs of Spring popping up around my house. Thanks to the many tulip and daffodils bulbs we’ve planted there is something new blooming outside just about every day. For me Spring is the most hopeful season of the year.
Many are making plans for their Spring breaks right now. In fact I know some who have already had them. As usual I’ll be having a staycation. My spring break will be spent here at home but that doesn’t mean there won’t be plenty to do.
This brings me to my Spring 2016 Bucket List
Fill my house with spring blooms. Daffodils and tulips are my favorites
Bake some Creme Egg brownies. This could quickly become an Easter tradition
Make the most of the extra sunshine in the evenings by sitting on the porch
Take some pretty pictures of the spring blossoms
Visit the Lake side
Send out Easter cards to our family
Spring clean my wardrobe
Get up early to watch the sunrise
This is just a few of the things I’m looking forward to. Spring brings lots to do.
Cadbury Creme Egg Brownines
3 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
18 mini Cadbury creme eggs, unwrapped
Heat the oven to 350F. Line an 8 by 8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave self bowl or double boiler. Stir until smooth and combined. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add the egg and stir well.
With the mixer on low speed, pour in the melted chocolate. Slowly add the flour mixed with baking powder. Spread the batter on the bottom of the prepared pan and press in the the Cadbury creme eggs.
Bake for about 30 minutes or until the top is set and firm to touch. Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
Enjoy!
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive - to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.
Marcus Aurelius
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

I like your spring bucket list, Ma, and that recipe for the Cadbury eggs looks delicious! It is neat to see spring in the air with the plants blooming, warmer days and longer days before the sun goes down.
betty
This makes me wish I'd thought to update my own bucket list.
That simple act does sounds hopeful ... tho I could do with a little LESS warm air! (*smile*)
I finally broke down and turned on the A/C last eve.
