7 DAYS UNTIL SPRING
Sunrise: 6:45 am
Sunset: 6:33 pm
Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Plant a Flower Day. It's a day to get a little dirt under your fingernails. Take a few minutes to plant a flower today.
Gardening is a great hobby. It's enjoyed by millions of people, old and young alike. Its a hobby that virtually everyone can participate in, regardless of age, and health. Senior citizens love it, as they can garden long after they give up other hobbies and sports.
Celebrate today by planting or transplanting any kind of plant. It can be done indoors, or weather permitting, outdoors.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but trifles, to be sure; but, scattered along life's pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.
Joseph Addison
Here at my house it’s not good weather for planting anything outdoors. It’s a sunny morning but there was frost on the ground and here in northern Ohio nothing much get’s planted outdoors till around Memorial Day. There is still a chance frost till about the middle of May.
My remaining house plants haven’t wintered well at all and I’m thinking it may be time to get some new ones. Meanwhile, I’ve added another solar powered flower to my collection that sets on the window. The flower and leaves dance around when the sun is shining.
More and more I’m thinking this is the kind of flower to have, doesn’t require watering and it always makes me smile.
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday !
Final Warning.
Don’t forget to set your clocks forward one hour before you go to bed…
Daylight Savings time starts tomorrow.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
There are always flowers for those who want to see them.
Henri Matisse
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3670. for flowers, they do make me smile
3671. for thoughts of spring, planting days will soon be here
3672. for another birthday gathering today, it’s not the last, one more to go
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY

We'll be outside today, not planting flowers but doing some weed picking and other clean up before we move :) I agree with you, the solar plants are the best and easiest ones to take care of, plus they are so cute to watch :)

Keith and I have just been sitting here talking about our garden for this year! We have been sorely tempted by the mild weather in the past two weeks, but the last week of March is supposed to get cold again here, so we are holding our horses. We have been investigating "new to us" gardening techniques, though, as Keith can no longer build the wonderful beds we had at our old place... so we are going with straw bales. We are eager to get started!
The weather here is more like summer weather in the 80's. Its cloudy here today I'm thinking about getting outside and put some new chips in flower beds. We had to go to Walmart yesterday to get some medicine, and they had some pretty flowers, I may go back and get me a few plants. Take care. Jean
Love the black and white checkerboard on your kitchen curtain!
Did you happen to see on Joey + Rory blog where - because the earth was still too cold - she was planting seedlings in egg shells and setting the (egg) carton by the kitchen window. (I thought that was genius!)
