Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. It is a day of remembrance for pregnancy loss and infant death, which includes but is not limited to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, or the death of a newborn. The day is observed with remembrance ceremonies and candle lighting vigils, concluding with the International Wave of Light, a worldwide lighting of candles at 7:00 p.m. The wave of light is an international event where the result is a continuous chain of light spanning the globe for a 24 hour period in honor and remembrance of the children who die during pregnancy or shortly after birth
On October 25, 1988, American President Ronald Reagan designated the entire month of October 1988 as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. House Concurrent Resolution 222 proclaims October 15th of each year to be Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day in the United States.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Children are a Gift from God
I will be lighting my candle today in honor of a dear little grandson that passed away several years ago now. He’ll be remembered and loved always.
All life is so precious and when it is suddenly taken away we find it hard and I pray for all parents that have lost a child, it is never easy. We can only be thankful that we had them for whatever short time that was allowed to us.
Our children are a gift from God on loan from heaven above...
I hope you all have a GREAT day! Happy Thursday!
PRAYER REQUEST
DDIL#6 has asked for prayers for her father who recently found out that he has cancer in his lower abdomen and is going to be going through treatment for it. Please join me in praying for her dad that the treatment will be successful. May he be comforted knowing he is in good hands.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Every baby is a blessing. Every child is a gift.
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3220. for all my children and grandchildren, a large family is a blessing indeed
3221. for our little Pumpkin, gone from us, but never forgotten
3222. for life, a gift to all
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
70 Days Until Christmas
If the children are to be nestled, all snug in their beds, it's time to get things straight in the linen closet! This week we focus on linen closet and bathrooms as we get organized for Christmas.
We'll declutter, organize and clean these areas, then do a quick linen check. Taking time now, assures that we have enough sheets and towels and a quick check the state of the tablecloth means that all will be stocked for winter cold and holiday guests.
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Your children are the greatest gift God will give to you, and their souls the heaviest responsibility He will place in your hands. Take time with them, teach them to have faith in God. Be a person in whom they can have faith. When you are old, nothing else you've done will have mattered as much.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

You're blessed when you're content with just who you are—no more, no less. That's the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can't be bought

I did not know about this remembrance day... it is just before seven, and I will remember all children lost. Thanks for telling us, MA.
A good thing to remember those little ones taken too soon, glad there's a day to do so.
