Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
October 21st is Babbling Day. Blatherskites, mark this day on your calendar. This isn't a day to remain silent. Tell everyone you know about this special day.
On Babbling Day, we celebrate those of us with a glib tongue. You know them when you hear them. They're talking gibberish. They never stop talking. They babble on and on. They can turn a simple one sentence statement into an endless dissertation.
Spend this day babbling like a baby, if you must. As for me, I’d rather spend it by a babbling brook.
BTW: In case you didn't know, a Blatherskite is a person who babbles.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
If something goes without saying, let it.
Author Unknown
I can remember being told that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. I’d say that is pretty good advice. It is always better to praise and encourage someone rather than to criticize them.
Our words do matter and it is wise person that carefully chooses what they say. It’s always better to lift someone up, rather than to tear them down.
The leaves on the tree out front are fast fading as are our warm autumn days. I don’t know how many of them we’ll have left, but it’s been wonderful to have some sunshine this week.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Blessed is the man who, having nothing to say, abstains from giving us wordy evidence of the fact—from calling on us to look through a heap of millet-seed in order to be sure that there is no pearl in it.
George Eliot
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3238. for kind words, always good
3239. for silence, sometimes it’s golden
3240. for the ability to talk, not everyone can
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
64 Days Until Christmas
Today might be a great day to get outside and enjoy the cool, crisp fall air and the smells of an open fire. Experience the season and build some beautiful memories! Many in my family have been doing just that and that is what my pictures are of today.
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
The trouble with talking too fast is you may say something you haven't thought of yet.
Ann Landers
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

Its funny how the different parts of the country experience fall. Your leaves are starting to fall and be done with; our leaves are just starting to change. I know there are some doctors that I type for that can be accused of babbling :) So true the impact of words and for us to choose them wisely as we speak.
betty
So good!
People that talk ALL the time just wear me to a nub. Yikes.
The power in our words is mindbending.....I don't think the average person understand this fact.
Blessings this day.
