This little granddaughter lives pretty far away, so there is no chance I’ll be seeing her today, but as usual my birthday wishes went out in the mail. I surely do love and miss her.

Before I forget, I have to let you know the results of the woolly bear predictions for this winter.  Although mild winters in northern Ohio are rare, I wanted to let you know that it does appear this winter could be ‘woolly bearable’.  Let’s hope our fuzzy friends are right.

79 Days Until Christmas

This week we’re to we work on Christmas cards, brainstorm ideas for Secret Santa celebrations and begin any catalog or Internet shopping that needs to be done.  In our family we usually draw names for our family gift exchange at Thanksgiving when most of us are together.  It’s lots of fun when Christmas comes to find out who your secret Santa is.  

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS

Please pray for God's protection of

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

commanders.

Almighty and eternal God,

Protect our military

as they discharge their duties

with the shield of your strength,

may the power of your love

enable them to return home in safety

that with all who love them

they may ever praise you for your loving care.

AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters

and Paramedics and EMT’s

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
