THOUGHT FOR TODAY
To find someone who will love you for no reason, and to shower that person with reasons, that is the ultimate happiness.
Robert Brault
I did get to see this son and his wife when I was at their house this past weekend for our little Precious One’s birthday party. This month is just full of celebrations and we have to be thankful for them and all the special times to be together. Since most of my family doesn’t live close by we really have learned how precious times are that we can be together.
Hard to believe that this week is almost over. This weekend I’ll be having my 3rd Sunday dinner when we can belatedly celebrate with DS#5 as he was away last weekend when his actual birthday was. I always love the chance to cook for someone besides myself as there are many things I don’t fix for just me.
The recipe to follow is what I’m thinking about serving them along with a vegetable, salad and rolls. Oh, and birthday cake for dessert too. This is an easy meal to prepare that is tasty and provides plenty of leftovers for lunch or dinner the next day, unless you have a crowd to feed. It also cooks in the crock pot for easy convenience. Only a few ingredients needed and you're set! Recipe serves 6 to 8 depending on the portion size.
Sausage Rotini - Crock pot style
1 can of prepared spaghetti sauce
1 small can of tomato paste, only 2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 lb of Italian sausage
1 package of rotini noodles
1 cup mozzarella cheese
Cook sausage in skillet until browned. In crock pot pour spaghetti sauce, 2 tablespoons of tomato paste so that the sauce thickens, 1 tablespoon garlic salt and 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning in and stir. Add sausage.
Cook on low for 2 and 1/2 hours. Boil the bag of noodles, drain and add to crock pot. Place 1 cup of mozzarella on top and turn crock pot on warm. That's it. Your dinner is ready.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Love is, above all, the gift of oneself.
Jean Anouilh
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3031. For DS#6 and his wife, it’s their Anniversary today
3032. for my large crockpot, it holds enough for a crowd
3033. for family celebrations, always a good time
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !

Happy anniversary to DDS#6 and wife! I liked that recipe for the sausage rotini and the rest of your menu. That certainly here would provide leftovers for a couple of days. This week did fly by!
