Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
The first Sunday in August is Sister’s Day. It’s a day to celebrate being or having a sister. That means a lot of us will celebrate this special day.
Sisters are truly special and unique. Sure, we may argue and fight. But, when it comes right down to it, sisters are the best, the very best.
Celebrate Sister's Day by making it a special day in some way for you, and for her.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Sisters are different flowers from the same garden.
Author Unknown
I have two very wonderful sisters and always enjoy being with them. Both of them love flowers and are much better gardeners that I will ever be so today I’m sharing more flower pictures from here at my house.
These are of the Rose of Sharon bushes that are all over the yard here. We got starts of them from our mother and let me tell you, they are very prolific. Little sprouts grow up from every year from the seeds of the flowers that bloomed the year before. I pull them out of the ground like weeds sometimes.
Temps are to remain in the mid 80’s today with mostly sunny skies. Next week may be a little cooler dipping back into the 70’s. A welcome relief for sure.
I hope you all have a RELAXING and restful Sunday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3000. for my two sisters, they are a blessing
3001. for lovely flowers blooming outside my door
3002. for cooler temps coming our way
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
