Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
July 2nd is I Forgot Day. By definition, today is not a day to remember. If you have ever wished you had an excuse for those things you somehow let slip your mind, today you have it! Some days are days to remember and to cherish all of our lives. Others, like today, are ones to be forgotten. If you are having a bad day, it's just as well that today is I Forgot Day. Some people view today as an opportunity to express their regrets for forgetting something, and to make amends. Hope you don't forget anything important today!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Forget injuries, never forget kindnesses.
Confucius
It’s terrible but it’s true there are times we all forget. We're surrounded by calendars on our walls, in our cell phones and on our computers. But even with all of these reminders, even with the electronic alarms, we still forget. I hate it when I forget to mention someone’s special day. I really try hard to remember all the birthdays and anniversaries of those in my family, but there have been a few times I have forgotten. The thing about calendars and reminders is that you have to remember to write them down and then remember to read what you wrote.
Unlike these special days though, there have been times in my life that I figure were better off forgotten. No one likes to remember a bad day. I’m always looking for the bright side in every day so you won’t hear me mention much at all about the bad days. There really is something good to be found in every day if you look for it.
Out of 10 articles in our local newspaper, I found only 2 that related to some good news. I don’t know how it is that they overlook the positive side of what’s going on in our town, but usually the headlines are full of the bad news. There really is a lot of good things in life to remember. If I forgot, I’m sorry and I’m working at doing better.
We have a slight chance of showers again, then it looks like it will be clear sailing for the long 4th of July weekend. Today’s pictures are of some of the sunsets this past week.
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday !

COUNTING MY GIFTS
Even if happiness forgets you a little bit, never completely forget about it.
Jacques Prévert
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached over 1800 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1814. For special days to remember and celebrate
1815. for my calendar that mostly keeps me on track
1816. for beautiful sunsets that remind me to be thankful for each day
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!

ADVICE FOR TODAY
Remember To Forget
Always remember to forget
The things that made you sad.
But never forget to remember
The things that made you glad.
Always remember to forget
The friends that proved untrue.
But never forget to remember
Those that have stuck by you.
Always remember to forget
The troubles that passed away.
But never forget to remember
The blessings that come each day.

Love all of your quotes and words Pam. Some days I think I have forgotten more than I will ever remember. It seems to be getting worse as I get older! I think it is just time goes too fast and I have too many fingers in too many pies! You're a treasure Pam, a real treasure. You write such uplifting and inspiring posts. I love each one of them! xxoo
