Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
If you're looking for a day to get crazy, July 14th is the day for you because it's Pandemonium Day. It’s a day of sheer bedlam, and utter chaos. If ever there was a wild and whacky, unorganized day, today it that day.
Everyone has a day like this once in while. Its a day when all sort of unexpected things occur. Its a time when everything is happening at the same time, and at a very fast pace.
Celebrate and embrace Pandemonium Day. Don't let today, or any other day shake you up. If Pandemonium prevails, just go with the flow in a calm, cool manner. Sanity will return soon enough.....we hope.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
When life gets to hard to stand…kneel.
I think that each and everyone of us knows what Pandemonium means! Life does get a little crazy at times.
For those times when life seems to be more than you can bear, for those times when things get just a little too crazy, for the times when you feel like life is dragging you along, remember that God understands. And no matter what happens in your life, no matter how crazy your day may seem, there is always something to be thankful for.
They say we’ll have something like a polar vortex sweeping into our area after today. The cold air coming down to us out of Alaska is really going to cool us down. This is very unusual for the middle of July. This polar influence won’t be anything like we experienced in January of this year, this is July after all, but for many it will bring a feeling of relief after some hot and humid days. Our highs will be in the low 70’s for a couple of days now.
Please join me, today, in focusing on the many blessings that God has bestowed upon us rather than the trials we may be facing. I hope you all have a great start to this new week. Happy Monday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.
Melody Beattie
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached over 1800 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1850. for another new day, there is always something good to be found if we look for it
1851. for a cool break from the summer heat and humidity
1852. for a plan, there are goals I want to meet this week
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Plan your work, then work your plan...
If you delay till tomorrow what ought to be done today, you overcharge the morrow with a burden which belongs not to it. You load the wheels of time, and prevent it from carrying you along smoothly. He who every morning plans the transactions of the day, and follows out the plan, carries on a thread which will guide him through the labyrinth of the most busy life. The orderly arrangement of his time is like a ray of light which darts itself through all his affairs. But where no plan is laid, where the disposal of time is surrendered merely to the chance of incidents, all things lie huddled together in one chaos, which admits neither of distribution nor review.
Hugh Blair
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

I will try to focus on God's blessings this week indeed, Ma! I'm sure it will be a relief to have some cooler days, but still pleasant days in the week ahead. Life surely can be hectic at times, I like having a pandemonium day to celebrate it!

This week's polar vortex is coming to us, in Kansas, too... and I'm thankful to God for IT! How different from last year at this time!
One of my sleepless nights. It has been hot here, but we get a shower of rain most every day and that helps cool us down some, but keeps the grass growing, ha. It will be winter time before we know it, time has passed so fast since my retirement thirteen years ago. Take care. Jean
