Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
July 23rd is Gorgeous Grandma Day. Many people around the world say that we do not do enough to honor our elderly. Just as well, then, that days such as Gorgeous Grandma Day exist.
Gorgeous Grandma Day is a time of the year in which we can celebrate the grannies in our lives. Everybody thinks that their grandma is gorgeous, so what could be better than an entire day devoted to acknowledging that fact? Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are well known, so Gorgeous Grandma Day is a natural progression.
No matter what your grandmother prefers to do with her time, this is the day in which you can be sure she will have plenty of time to do it, and plenty of people willing to support her.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Who is a Gorgeous Grandma? She is every woman over fifty, sixty, or seventy who:
Believes she has her whole life ahead of her, not her whole life behind her.
Wants to get the most out of every day of her life.
Wants to thrive, not just survive.
Cares for her mind and her body.
Remains adaptable to life’s bittersweet as well as sweet.
Cherishes herself as much as she cherishes her loved ones.
Refuses to remain static - who is always open to learning, to new ideas, to new challenges and to new experiences.
Loves life - and lets everyone know it!

Needless to say I am a Grand’ma’ ! I love being one too! The pictures today are of me and some of my grands. I love them all so much and am thankful for what ever time I get to spend with them.
I spent a lot of time with my maternal grand mother and she was and is still a source of inspiration for me. I could never match up to who and what she was. She taught me a lot.
A gorgeous grandma smiles often, laughs oftener, and hands out more hugs than cookies. She’s gorgeous because she’s lived through many decades and wears her experience like a medal of honor. She has the wisdom to accept bittersweet moments, the spirit to withstand loss, and the heart to appreciate the sweetness life can offer. She loves and is loved.
Celebrate all the things that make you, your grandmother or grandmothers in your life special
I hope you all have wonderful Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The beauty of a woman with passing years only grows!
Audrey Hepburn
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached over 1800 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.

You are indeed a gorgeous grandma, Ma! I love the smiles on your face in the pictures as you are around your grandkids and how your eyes are lit up! Enjoy your day!

My maternal grandmother lived with us when I was a child and I so loved her! She somehow managed to be a confidante, a playmate, a firm supporter of my parents' discipline, and a comforter all rolled into one! She died when I was 13, my brother 10, and my little sister only 3. I always felt my sister missed out on really knowing her because she missed my memories!
