Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
July 16th is International Juggling Day. Today we celebrate the talented people who can juggle many balls and objects at a time. Do you ever feel like a juggler, spinning plates overhead or tossing too many balls into the air at one time?
Literally or figuratively, how much can you juggle at once?
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them: work, family, health, friends and spirit. And you’re keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls—family, health, friends and spirit—are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for balance in your life.
Have you ever felt like your whole life is one big juggling act? Trying to relentlessly keep all the balls in the air, keep the routines going, keep the world spinning round? Sometimes, when life is a juggling act of even more difficulty than usual, we really need to prioritize. It is important to understand too, that making something a priority in our schedules does not mean that it is more important that other things in our lives, simply that it is more urgent. If you are juggling too many balls you are going to drop some. Remember one simple thing: It will all get done…just not today.
I think we have to be willing to let go of those things in life that hold you back or keep you off balance and knowing how to pick up the balls and keep going is maybe the most important skill of your life. Since life is a balancing act sometimes, don't worry if you have to slow down or take a break. I think the first thing to keep in mind is that you should not over commit. Learning to handle life like a good juggler will actually get you ahead in life with more satisfaction.
Today’s pictures are a few more of the sunsets we had this past week. Sunsets always remind to be thankful for all my blessings.
I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday! Over the hump of the week we go, sliding right into the weekend!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance and order and rhythm and harmony.
Thomas Merton,
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached over 1800 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1856. for a balanced life, at least most of the time
1857. for the priorities in my life: my faith, family and friends
1858. for blue berry pancakes with strawberry topping. Mmmm good !
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Be aware of wonder. Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.

A bit of love from someone dear…

Sometimes life does feel like a juggling act or a merry go round Pam! You are so right, there are some balls we can afford to drop and others which are so precious we have to protect them with all that we can! Those berry pancakes look fabulous! I have always love LOVED pancakes of any kind! Hope you are having a fabulous day! xx
Those pancakes looked delicious, Ma! I liked the sunset pictures to. I admire those that can juggle balls and other objects, not sure I would ever have that talent :)
I think it is easy to get into a position in our lives where we have a lot on our plate and have to juggle our time and our efforts. It is a good reminder to every once in awhile stop and really see if we need to do all that we do and maybe let some balls drop in our juggling act indeed :)

My son can juggle really well, and I always admired that. Yes, I juggled projects all the time until the last year... when I realized that you don't always HAVE to have many balls in the air at once.
