The best wisdom I’ve got for you today is: take naps when you can. A power nap will boost your memory, cognitive skills, creativity, and energy level.
The 20 minute power nap is good for alertness and motor learning skills like typing and playing the piano. Napping for approximately 30 to 60 minutes is good for decision making skills, such as memorizing vocabulary or recalling directions.
Research has found that napping regularly may reduce stress and even decrease your risk of heart disease. Napping won’t make you smart or assure success, but it can help improve your memory and solve problems.
I do love my naps and can truthfully say I usually have one every day. Sometimes they are short ones and sometimes long ones. I really never had this option until I stopped working, but I know they would have been an immense help had I been able to take one then. I hate to think that my memory could be worse if I didn’t have my naps. It’s bad enough with them. Such are the joys of getting older.

I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for over a year and have now reached over 1800 gifts. On my way to 2000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.

That was neat to read the benefits of napping. I do like the naps I get to take on the weekends :)
