52 DAYS UNTIL FALL
Sunrise: 6:25 am
Sunset: 8:43 pm
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
August 3rd celebrates National Park Day in the United States. Many of the country's national parks offer free or discounted admissions on this outdoorsy holiday.
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.
Albert Einstein
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
If you truly love Nature, you will find beauty everywhere.
Vincent Van Gogh
Although I have been to some National Parks, this year I've been enjoying nature right here at home. So today I'm sharing some pictures of the Rose of Sharon bushes here in my back yard. They are at their peak right now. They'll bloom for the rest of the summer into fall but won't be quite as pretty as they are right now.
We have been blessed with some wonderful summertime weather here. The days have been cooler than those we had for the most part of July. It's been wonderful to turn off the A/C and let in some fresh air.
Hope you all have a super Saturday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
It’s when you count blessings — you see Who can be counted on
I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts. I’ll be sharing them and giving thanks to God for these gifts each day.
821. for flowering bushes in my yard
822. for nature and all its beauty
823. for National Parks that provide lots of pleasure
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
Nothing is more beautiful than the loveliness of the woods before sunrise.
George Washington Carver
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

We had an elderly lady here who sold "RosaSharon" bushes out of her yard. She had done it for years, and lived with her brother, neither had ever married. I watched every year for the "Rose a Sharon" sign to go up!
As you know Pam, I am a great lover of Nature. I am so glad that I am one who finds beauty in all things. Love the quote from George Washington Carver! Hope you have a wonderful week! xxoo
