ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

39 DAYS UNTIL FALL
Sunrise: 6:37 am
Sunset: 8:28 pm
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
August 14th. is You're Only a Number Day. Those of you who are American citizens can thank or blame Franklin D. Roosevelt for being identified by a number. It was on this day in 1935 that President Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act into law. Your Social Security number is the only number that identifies you and only you.
Today you are You,
that is truer than true.
There is no one alive
who is Youer than You.
Dr. Seuss
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Promise me you'll always remember:
You're braver than you believe,
and stronger than you seem,
and smarter than you think.
Christopher Robin
I like to think that we are all more than only a number. However we all have them…we're numbered at birth now and I have no doubt that to some we are only numbers. We are all unique and wonderful creations though and each one of us has so much to offer that a number couldn't possible describe us.
Have you ever noticed that the most beautiful sounds come from the smallest birds? An eagle can screech; a turkey can gobble; an ostrich makes no sound at all. But a tiny little wren can make some of the most beautiful music ever heard.
God gives every creature its own gift. The mighty eagle may appear majestic as it soars gracefully overhead, but it would never win a talent contest. The little wren can sing a beautiful song, but wouldn't have a chance in a tug of war with the eagle. God has made everything beautiful and unique in its own way.
God has made you beautiful, special and unique, too. Each of you has different talents, gifts, abilities. None of us is the best at everything.
We have a unique value to each one of us that cannot be categorized, cannot be quantified and must not be degraded or devalued. Therefore, it should not be acceptable to think of people as numbers. In God’s image we are fearfully and wonderfully made and His works are wonderful. Never forget that! You are wonderful!
Today's picture were taken on a recent walk around outside the house, we still have plenty of things blooming here.
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.

COUNTING MY GIFTS
Count your blessings.
Once you realize how valuable you are
and how much you have going for you,
the smiles will return, the sun will break out,
the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward
with the life that God intended for you
with grace, strength, courage, and confidence.
Og Mandino
I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts. I’ll be sharing them and giving thanks to God for these gifts each day.
854. for the gift of being me
855. for all life
856. thankful that we are all unique, how boring it'd be if we were all alike
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.
Oscar Wilde
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

A lovely stroll through the garden today... Have a wonderful Wednesday! :)
I love the works of AA Milne and Dr Seuss! Two of my favourite writers, whose writing is ageless. Every age can enjoy them! Love your garden photos. So pretty. It is hard to believe that we are not long until autumn arrives now, but my garden is already looking tired so . . . it will arrive soon. Have a great Friday Pam! xxoo
