ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

2 DAYS TILL SUMMER
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
June 19th is Eat an Oreo Day, although this sounds like an impossible feat. To be honest, is it possible to eat only one of the cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies.
Pass the milk, please. It's June 19th, Eat an Oreo Day. And take two or three; they're small.
Be a child again. Flirt. Giggle. Dip your cookies in your milk. Take a nap. Say you're sorry if you hurt someone. Chase a butterfly. Be a child again.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Cookies are made of butter and love.
Norwegian Proverb
There is one question that has plagued mankind since this sandwich cookie’s debut. What’s the best way to eat an Oreo? Do you twist the cookie apart? Eat it whole? Do you dunk it in milk?
I have to say that in the summertime, I don't like to turn on the oven at all so most of my cookies are the ones like Oreos that come from the store. But I do have a wonderful no bake cookie recipe that is pretty tasty and requires no baking.
2 cups white sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups quick cooking oats
1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the cocoa, sugar, milk and butter. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Boil for 1 minute.
2. Remove from heat and stir in the salt, vanilla, oats and peanut butter.
3. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Allow cookies to cool for at least 1 hour.
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts. I’ll be sharing them and giving thanks to God for these gifts each day.
685. for all cookies, even Oreo's
686. for a glass of ice cold milk to go with those cookies
687. for all the little cookie monsters in my family, chomp chomp!
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
A balanced diet is a cookie in each hand !
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

Mmmmmm, cookies!! Blessings
mmmm . . . I strongly believe in eating a balanced diet. The way I eat my oreos depends on my mood, sometimes I just crunch right in and other times I pick them apart and eat the middle first. Milk is a must! xxoo
