16 DAYS TILL SUMMER
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5th of June to raise global awareness of the need to take positive environmental action. It is run by the United Nations Environment Program.
Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.
Native American Proverb
While thinking about the environment that we all live in, I can't help but think about families and the environment of the home. Family has always been high on my priority list. I was blessed to have lots of aunts, uncles and cousins in my family as each of my parents came from large families with 10 children each.
I always thought it would be great to have a family of 12, but was blessed with only 7. However, my family is still growing. I now have 18 grandchildren and there is one more on the way come November.
One of my grandsons would have been celebrating his birthday today, but sadly passed away when he was only 2 years old. He's our little Angel in heaven now, but still very much apart of our family. We always have the ones we love close to us as they are kept deep in our hearts.
Our children are a gift from God and are ours only for a little while. There isn't much that is more delightful and that could give us more joy.
God let's us borrow them until He decides to bring them back home to Him. All children are gifts from God, they should be cherished as just that.
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
Children Are God's Gifts
If you are a parent, read this. Better yet, keep it where you can read it regularly.
My hands are small, don’t expect perfection whenever I make a bed, draw a picture, or throw a ball.
My legs are short, slow down so that I can keep up with you.
My eyes have not seen the world as yours have; let me explore it safely; don’t restrict me unnecessarily.
Make time for me, housework will always be there; I am only little once.
I have feelings too; don’t nag me about my inquisitiveness. Treat me as you would like to be treated.
I am a gift, treasure me as God intended. Hold me accountable, give me guidelines to live by, discipline me with love.
I need encouragement to grow, not empty praise. Go easy, you can correct the things I do without putting me down.
Give me the freedom to make decisions, even if they are not always right. Permit me to fall, so I can learn to walk.
Don’t do things repeatedly for me; that makes me feel like my efforts do not measure up to your expectations. Please do not compare me with others; I am me, not them.
Take me to Gods house and introduce me to Him, because I will need Him for the rest of my life
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.
PSALM 127:3
COUNTING MY GIFTS
I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts. I’ll be sharing them and giving thanks to God for these gifts each day.
643. for family members gone but never forgotten
644. for all children, what a blessing they are
645. for families that live in an environment of love
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right.
Confucius
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
