5 DAYS TILL SUMMER
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
Father's Day in the United States is on the third Sunday of June. It celebrates the contribution that fathers and father figures make for their children's lives.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Father’s Day is not for celebrating ‘perfect’ fathers; they’re as rare as ‘perfect’ children. It’s a time for celebrating the things that fathers got right
Celebrations always include food so I found this recipe to share with you all today!
Man Pleasing Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings is a recipe for slow cooker chicken and dumplings that only requires four simple ingredients! Your man and your whole family will love this comfort slow cooker chicken recipe. Fluffy buttermilk biscuits and cream of chicken soup give this delicious dish its texture.
Crockpot Chicken and Dumplings.
6 boneless/skinless Chicken Breasts (frozen is fine)
2 cans of condensed cream of chicken soup
4 tablespoons of butter
Can of refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1/2 cup of water (okay 5 ingredients if you count water)
In a crock pot place chicken breasts in the bottom and then pour cream of chicken soup over the top. Cut butter into slices and scatter over the top. Add 1/2 a cup of water and cook on high 4-5 hours or low 5-6. You may need to adjust the timing depending on your crock pot. Mine seems to cook on the hot side. 30 minutes before you are ready to eat shred the chicken and then open the biscuits and tear them into pieces and put into the mixture. Give it a stir and let it cook for 30-35 minutes on high. Done!
I added some onion, celery, and carrots. I like vegetables in my chicken and dumplings.
I hope that you all enjoy a HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The greatest gift I ever had
Came from God; I call him Dad!

I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts. I’ll be sharing them and giving thanks to God for these gifts each day.
676. for all fathers, especially the ones in my family
677. for good food to share
678. for happy times together with family
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
ANY man can be a Father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad.
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma
