It's TUESDAY!

Today is General Election Day in the US, always on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November.

It's also All Souls Day, a moment to remember those friends and loved ones who have passed away.

That simple yet powerful sentiment often helps me put things in perspective. Start small. I may not be able to bring about world peace, but I can plant seeds of peace in my home.

NEW IN THE KITCHEN

National Deviled Eggs Day is today. All of you devils, must go forth and consume deviled eggs on this very special day.

Here is a recipe with a twist that you might like to try toad

6 hard boiled eggs, chilled, peeled and cut lengthwise

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 teaspoon dry ground mustard

salt and pepper to taste

real bacon bits

paprika

Carefully scoop yolks out of egg halves.

Set egg white halves aside on a plate or a piece of waxed paper.

In a bowl, mix together with a fork the egg yolks, mayoanaise, mustard, and a dash of salt and pepper.

Fill the empty egg whites with the egg yolk mixture.

Sprinkle a few bacon bits on top of each egg.

Sprinkle a little paprika over the egg for effect.

Set finished eggs onto a serving dish.

Serve chilled.

AROUND HOME

This week is a busy one for me. Today after Mr. Wonderful is picked up I will go get my hair cut and also vote. Sometime on Thursday I'll be getting my flu shot and on Friday afternoon I'll head to DS#1's to do a little babysitting there on Saturday .

My traveling days will soon be very limited as our weather will be getting very iffy. Not that I do a lot of it anyway. But this winter the snow and the ice aren't going to bother me much as I'll be indoors where it is warm and cozy.

FAMILY

It's the time of year when everyone loves to spend the long evenings playing games. Here's one you might like to try with your family one night.

Spider

To play Spider, each person needs a sheet of paper, a crayon or pencil, and 1 die (dice). Each person chooses a number from 1 to 6. The youngest person then rolls the die. If she rolls her number, then she gets to draw a circle for the body of the spider. Then the die is passed to the next person. Once each person has drawn a circle, then you start to draw the legs (8 total). If you want the game to continue, then you can add a face. The first person who completes their Spider is the winner!
