ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
NOVEMBER 6th, 2010
If you can't see the bright side of life, polish the dull side
It's SATURDAY!
Marooned Without a Compass Day is today. Which direction will you take today? Our busy life styles seldom leaves time to relax. We can just kick back and enjoy being marooned. Tomorrow, we can head east when the sun rises.
Learn to pause...or nothing worthwhile will catch up to you.

THINKING
To handle yourself, use your head; To handle others, use your heart. Anger is only one letter short of danger
Eleanor Roosevelt
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
Grab your friends and put on a meal of yummy nachos. Serve them hot with heaps of cheese and jalapeƱos, add a side of sour cream and guacamole and you're ready to go!
You'll need :
Favorite Tortilla Chips
Ground Beef
Pinto, Black, or Red beans prepared in your favorite way
Canned, Whole-kernel Yellow Corn
Some-Cheese (as much as you want - shredded is best).
Lettuce
A microwave oven
Tomato
Avocado
Sour Cream
Favorite Salsa
Cook your ground beef. Using taco seasoning adds a great taste but this is optional.
Place tortilla chips on a plate
Place beans, taco meat, and corn on top of chips. Then add your favorite shredded cheese. Next, Melt the Cheese by placing your plate in a microwave oven
After cheese is melted add generous spoonful of sour cream and pour some salsa over the top.
Finish by topping with sliced avocado, chopped tomato and shredded lettuce
Enjoy!
PRAYERS
Father, I want to put my worries in Your hands. Help me to let go. Teach us to walk in wisdom, courage and love.
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU!
AROUND HOME
Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor... Let no one ever come to you without leaving better or happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile; kindness in your warm greeting
Mother Teresa of Calcutta, 1910 - 1997
I sure am trying to spread my love around this week. After caring for our Mr. Wonderful Monday through Friday, today I'm at DS#1's house caring for 2 of his 3 children.
Mom has a conference to attend and Dad and our Prince Charming are at a Scout camp out. It'll be a busy day and I'll probably spend the night as I can't drive when it gets dark out.
It's cold here but no snow yet.
COUNTING THE DAYS
FINAL WARNING!
Don't forget to turn your clocks back 1 hour before you go to bed!
45 DAYS UNTIL WINTER!
49 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS
Keep looking ON THE BRIGHT SIDE of things.
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone near…
Love,
ma
