TODAY'S THOUGHT
We blame fate for other accidents, but we feel personally responsible when we make a hole in one

JUST FOR TODAY
We all need to look for the silver linings in our day-to-day lives
Just for today: I will remember that through every day of my life, I am refreshed and renewed by the blessings of God's grace. If I become discouraged, grace encourages me to begin again
TODAY’S QUOTE
Always be a first-rate version of yourself; instead of a second-rate version of somebody else
Judy Garland
IT’S WEDNESDAY !!
IT’S OVER THE HUMP WE GO!
After today we’ll have just 2 more days of work til our nice long relaxing Labor Day weekend. We’ll have a few visitors at the campground this weekend as DS#6 and his wife are coming in to stay with us and one of my Dulcimer buddies is coming in Saturday just for the day and DS#5 and his wife are coming in Sunday just for the day. The more the merrier I always say.
We’ll be missing DD and her hubby though as they’ll be at his families’ reunion. I’m pretty sure DS#2 will also be traveling. They all be in my prayers as they travel back and forth. Whenever a holiday comes along I always remember the times when we’d all get together as a family. Now that everyone has their own homes, jobs and families that just don’t happen but I’m very thankful for the ones that can come.
Tuesday wasn’t much warmer than Monday here. I about froze my socks off when I stepped out the door yesterday morning. Today shouldn’t be as bad since they say we’ll have a low of 56 and a high of 76 today. The long range is still saying it’ll be mostly sunny through the weekend. That is so good to hear.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Prayer for Those Seeking Employment
God, our Father, as many of our friends and neighbors seek help and guidance as they look for suitable employment, Grant them your wisdom to guide their footsteps along the right path, and lead them to find the proper things to say and do in their quest for employment. Grant them the gifts and talents they need during their search; and the opportunities for gainful employment. Do not abandon them, dear Father, in their search, but rather grant them this favor they seek so that they may return to you with praise and thanksgiving for your gracious assistance. Grant this through Christ, our Lord.
Amen
Loving Creator, help us to remember every day
that you are the source of our strength.
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

TODAY’S REFLECTION
This is what God commands:…that we love each other
I John 3:23
Many people tell us to love. Only God gives us the power to do so.
We know what God wants us to do. But how can we? How can we be kind to the vow breakers? To those who are unkind to us? How can we be patient with people who have the warmth of a vulture and the tenderness of a porcupine? How can we forgive the moneygrubbers and backstabbers we meet, love, and marry? How can we love as God loves? We want to. We long to. But how can we?
By living loved.
