TODAY’S QUOTE
Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don't tell them where they know the fish.
Mark Twain
HAPPY THURSDAY !!
This is the last day of the work week for me. It is chilly and has been raining for two days now and today we may get some more, but I’ve got plenty of warm clothing so I’ll be headed for the campground after work this evening.
It’s a vacation day for me tomorrow so I’ve got a nice long 3 day weekend to enjoy. I’ve got some painting to be done and some books to read so I’ll be keeping busy til Friday evening when the rest of the camping babes arrive.
The little town that is nearby is having a street fair this weekend so we plan to go to that Saturday evening. They were setting up for it last weekend. They close off the main streets and have everything from animals, to games and food. So it should be fun. The high for the weekend is in the mid 60’s and the lows in the 50’s so it won’t be too cold to get outside and enjoy it all.
I’ll be back with my newsletter come Monday morning!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY’S SMILE
Inside me is a thin person struggling to get out, but that person can usually be sedated with a few pieces of chocolate cake
TIPS FOR STAYING YOUNG:1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctor worry about them. That is why you pay them.
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop;" the devil's name is Alzheimer's.
4. Enjoy the simple things. When the children are young, that is all that you can afford. When they are in college that is all that you can afford. When you are on retirement that is all that you can afford!
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. Laugh so much that you can be tracked in the store by your distinctive laughter.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be alive while you are alive, don't put out a mailbox on the highway of death and just wait in residence for your mail.
7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it is family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health. If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips. Go to the mall, the next county, a foreign country, but not to guilt country.
10. Tell the people you love, that you love them, at every opportunity.
AND ALWAYS REMEMBER, Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

TODAY’S REFLECTION
See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father.
Matthew 18:10
Jesus had been teaching his disciples about the nature of discipleship, when the disciples asked who was the greatest in God's reign. Jesus responded by placing a little child in their midst. These helpless little ones depended upon others to supply their needs. Though lowly, children have tremendous worth before God, and should not be despised as being insignificant. Their guardian angels watch over them and intercede on their behalf. The disciples might regard themselves as strong and self-sufficient, but they must be submissive and put their trust in God. Followers of Jesus who have these qualities reveal God's love to the world. Whoever welcomes these humble servants are in fact welcoming Christ.
The English word "angel" comes from the Greek angelos, which means 'messenger'. The term "guardian" angels refers to the belief that each soul has an angel who is available to shepherd the soul through life, and help bring them to God
For to his angels he has given command about you,
that they guard you in all your ways
Psalm 91:11
