THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I am not a saint, unless you think of a saint as a sinner who keeps on trying.
Nelson Mandela
I believe we are all saints in the making. It takes some of us longer to get there than others. So I will be celebrating today !
The great maintenance men here successfully completed their Winter check here yesterday so now I should be all set for what ever Winter sends my way. However I’m not happy about Winter coming. I tend to hibernate all winter long. Sleeping as much as I can and eating a lot of comfort foods.
By the time winter ends, I’ll have gained about 10 pounds, I tend to do this every year, But thankfully when the weather turns to spring, I’ll loose the weight again. I’ve been the same size now for a number of years and continue to wear the same old clothes. Nothing ever seems to wear out but my clothing is all comfy and cozy. I’m all about comfort these days rather than fashion. There is nothing fashionable about my clothing.
I’ve been working on sorting out my closet for quite a while now, getting the fall clothing out. Now that Halloween is over, I can store those clothes away again. Before we know it, I’ll be getting out all my Christmas sweaters and shirts. It never seems to stop.
I’ve decided to do 30 days of thanks for the month of November. Every day I’ll give thanks for something new. Please join me in giving thanks each day. You can see by the list above what will be coming our way.
Today I’m giving thanks for my family. I love and appreciate each one of them. They all make me happy and brighten my days. I don’t know what I’d do without them. They are truly my reason for living.
Life truly is a work in progress. Hopefully we keep getting better every day!
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
God creates out of nothing. Wonderful you say. Yes, to be sure but he does what is still more wonderful: He makes saints out of sinners.
Soren Kierkegaard
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
10,752. For all the Saints in heaven and in the making
10,753 for a job that never seems to end, I’m never bored
10,754.for a new day to enjoy
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.
Francis of Assisi
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

There is always, always something to be thankful for !
Sweet visit, THANKS. Love the happy FAmily shots.... I read all of the xxxx Month, If I were picking i would celebrate Military Family Month. Of all the military person suffers or endures is missing Family. The family is many times at home, acting as a single parent, carrying the load of the family. God Bless those at home, protecting the home front....
Love from here.
Sherry & jack smiling... Again Thanks.
These are great prompts, Ma. I look forward to reading how you weave posts around them!
Great family photo! Indeed. In good times and bad, my little family means everything to me.
Our weather pattern's so confusing. After a week of crisp days and cold nights, we're supposed to be back in the low 80's. No wonder the Fall foliage isn't as spectacular as it was last year.
Lovely post and thoughts…I will join you in being thankful for 30 days ….and I’m sure EVERY day after…xo,V.
