ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!!

Today is Cook Something Bold and Pungent Day which is an event that leaves little to the imagination, in other words cooking something original, spicy and even a bit offensive . Still it’ is not meant to merely represent a disgusting concoction of desparate ingredients.
Cook Something Bold and Pungent Day is intended to celebrate the use of herbs such as garlic and hot pepper to promote health and longevity.
The best way to recognize the day is by cooking something bold and pungent. By using a bit of imagination one may even find a surprisingly original dish can be created. When boldness is combined with innovation , some interesting results can occur.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The secret of happiness is variety, but the secret of variety , like the secret of all spices, is knowing when to use it.
Daniel Gilbert
My cooking is not very bold, I am willing to try out new things, however they are rarely very spicy. I do love garlic and chili powder but that is as bold as it will get.
My cooking is already done for today and all I have to do is heat it up. The pork chops I made yesterday were delicious so I imagine they’ll be just as good when I heat them up today.
In the news yesterday I saw where one of our local radio stations was now playing Christmas music so I immediately reset my favorite station to that and am now playing here at my house. What a happy jolly sound. I could listen to it all year long, if they played it.
I am going to get a little bold today and venture out to church once more. The more I go, the more confident I am that it is a safe place to go to. They are very good about keeping everything sanitized and at keeping everyone at a safe distance. There are still not many attending so there is plenty of room and the space is well ventilated too.
It’s a beautiful day, so I don’t want to waste it staying at home. I need to get out. Even though I’m moving slowly these days, I’ll take my walker and will be fine.
I’m not ashamed to admit I need a little help these days and thanks to my walker, I’ve got it. A friend of mine suggested that even though we don’t have pews to lean on I could just walk behind my chair and lean on that, but I think this is safer.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

ADVICE FOR TODAY
Spice is life. It depends upon what you like…have fun with it. Yes food is serious, but you should have fun with it.

Happy Sunday Ma, enjoy church and your beautiful weather today!
Glad you are going to church Ma!! Always good to be with fellow believers!! My hubby is really good about putting spices together and having things come out delicious. Not too spicy either but he uses a lot of rosemary. Have a great Sunday!

Glad to hear you're feeling more at ease attending in-person church services. I've a little girl (pup) feeling poorly, so elected to stay home and watch her. I don't know if this counts as 'bold', but we've a Mississippi Pot Roast with pepperonconi's brewing in the slow cooker. Happy Sunday!
