ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR MONDAY, NOVMBER 2ND, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Deviled Egg day which is traditional favorite in both America and France. Deviled eggs are made with hard boiled eggs mayonnaise, mustard and seasoning and can be served as a side dish, appetizer or main course.
While deviled eggs originated in ancient Rome, the term deviled didn’t appear until the 18th century when it was used to desribe highly seasoned, fried or boiled dishes. By the 15th century the word deviled was used to desribe hot seasonings in general. Today not all deviled egg recipes are spicy, but a little cayenne pepper or hot mustard can give them an extra kick.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The egg is always an adventure; the next one may be different.
Oscar Wilde
Most of the deviled eggs are a treat here at ,my house and I usually make them for the holidays. Everyone loves them. They are usually on my menu for a Sunday dinner when I have the family over. It seems like a lot of work for just me. I’ll often have a hard boiled egg, just not deviled.
However, I may make some up as side dish to have with dinner today in honor of the occasion. On the menu for today is:
Bean Buritos
Makes 1 serving
1 Whole Wheat Tortilla
1/3 cup sliced romaine
1/3 cup chopped cherry tomatoes
1/4 cup refried black beans
1; tbsp. chopped pickled jalopenas
1 scallion sliced
3 tbsp. shredded mexican blend cheese
2 tbsp. plain Greek yogurt
Fill tortilla with romaine, tomatoes, beans, jalopena, scallion, cheese and yogurt
Enjoy!
i usually keep frozen bean burritos in the fridge but making your own is healthier and easy to do.
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday!

ADVICE FOR TODAY
I try to take care and be gentle to them. Words and eggs must be handled with care. Once broken they are impossible to repair.

I'll have to make some deviled eggs for my hubby today, they are a favorite of his. Like you I normally just make them for holidays and sometimes for our Sunday football buffets, but those just haven't been happening lately. It's not much fun putting out a big spread for just the two of us. Have a great week Ma :)
I LOVE deviled eggs; and, in fact, have to keep a rein on myself if they're sitting on a buffet. Because it's just Tom and myself -- and he's just 'meh' about deviled eggs, I've never tried making them. Because of the virus, we've not gone out to eat since March -- but one of my favorite restaurants offers them as an alternative to chips or french fries' side. I think that's such a great idea. Healthier, too.
My husband had been hankering for deviled eggs, made some yesterday. Those are always the first to disappear around my family at get togethers.
I love deviled eggs; will have to make them soon!
