ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 22ND, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!!

Today is Go For a Ride Day which is what this holiday reminds us to do, to be in the moment and enjoy life’s aimless journeys… We often don’t take time to sit back and relax.
To celebrate this day, gas up your car and explore a new part of town, jump on the train to use the journey as a chance to destress, or simple enjoy a casual bike ride with friends and family. Wherever your journey takes you, make sure to sit back and enjoy the ride!
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
The ride does not require an explanation, just participants.

When I was young we’d often go for a Sunday ride with no aim in sight. My dad would just drive and drive. We’ all enjoyed it too. We’d sing songs and play games like trying to see who could spy the most out of state license plates.
It’s a relaxing thing to do. I don’t drive far anymore, but it’s always good to get out of the house for awhile, and it’s still a safe thing we can all do. I like to ride my bike around the park here too and see how many people have their Christmas decorations up. Although the temps are getting colder and my bike will soon be put away for the winter.
It won’t be long before the weather will interfere with how much traveling we do, so it’s good to get out and about while we still can.
My ride today will be going to church, but I don’t know how much longer I’ll be doing that because our numbers of Covoid cases keeps going up and up. I may soon decide just to stay at home and watch services on line again.
It’ll be a day for me to relax and rest up for the week ahead, no matter what, we all need that to get through what appears to be a busy week ahead with Thanksgiving coming.
Today’s pictures are from last Christmas when we took a ride through the Florida everglades, one of the most exciting rides I’d been on ever.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
Life is a car ride. Sometimes it’s cruise control down smooth highways. Other time it’s potholes on rural roads.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
8669. .for a ride to enjoy the sights
8670. for a dinner to heat up, no cooking to do
8671.for a day to rest and relax
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!
Life is like a roller coaster. It has its ups and downs, But it’s your choice to scream or to enjoy the ride.

The Florida Everglades is a great place to take a ride! When my kids were young I used to say let's go get lost! I would pack up a picnic lunch and take a drive, turning here and there with no destination in mind. We explored all kinds of places and never failed to find a nice place to stop and have our picnic lunch. It was such a simple thing to do, but the kids all remember it as some of their favorite times.
I remember taking Sunday rides with my folks! Sometimes we'd stop and walk through the nicely-decorated model homes and dream.
Unfortunately, the Covid numbers in our county have begun to sky-rocket again, so I'm content to attend church services on-line. Was visiting with our Pastor Janet yesterday and she's tossing around the idea of offering Zoom on-line participation for the Christmas Eve service. That was we can all see one another and sing, without fear of spreading germs.
That is just what the hubby and I did Sunday. Went out for breakfast and a ride and it was great.
