ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is American Recycles Day which is when raises awareness about recycling and the purchasing of recycled products. How we recycle and reuse products are important. For example one used water bottles flood America’s waterways and landfills at a rate of 60 million per day. Reducing this number can be used with water filtration devices and using portable usable drinking bottles and cups.
1 ton of paper saves 17 tress, 2 barrels of oi, 4100 kilowatts of energy, 3.2 cubic yards of land fill space and 60 pounds of air pollution. According to the greeting card Association, Americans purchase approximately 6.5 billion greeting cars each year. Think of all the trees we could save.
These envoronmental benefits are enough of an incentive for everyone to take part in the simple activity of recycling. By reusing the Earth’s natural resources, we reduce the greenhouse gas emissions and need to build landfills. We also ensure that these natural resources will be around for future generations to use.
This day encourages people to do their part and recycle. If your’re looking for other ways to help this earth, choose to send a digital greeting card instead of paper this year.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Although I understand that all days ae equal with 24 hours each, most of us agree that Friday is the longest day of the week and Sunday is the shortest!

I’m one that loves to send out birthday cards, so don’t be surprised if your next card is a digital one sent by email instead of through the mail. I’m going to try and save some trees. I already use email a lot using it to send out this newsletter each day and I no longer buy the newspaper but read it on line .
Another thing I’m also guilty of is buying bottled water instead of using a filtration unit on my drinking water. i even use bottled purified water in my coffee maker. I need to find a way to do better. The facet I have won’t allow for a unit on the kitchen sink, so maybe I should get one or two of those pitchers that come with a filtering system in them. Even though our city water is safe to drink, I don’t like the taste of it. And my Keurig says to use only purified water to make the coffee in it. I’m sure I’ll figure it out, it may just take me awhile.
On the menu today is my leftover French Dip Sandwiches made were made yesterday for today All I had to do was heat them up.
Delicious!
I think the girla party was a great success yesterday and that is what today’s pictures are of . DS#5 and his wife always put on a grood party. There weren’t as many of us present as wha there would normally be, but those that came had a lot of fun.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!

I still use bottled water too but the bottles go in our recycling bin. I hope they are actually being recycled! Sorry Blogger won't let you add the photos. I look forward to seeing them.
Glad to hear the party was a success, but hate to hear Blogger's acting up again. :( You're the second person to mention it this morning. To be honest, I never considered the impact of paper greeting cards -- only the rising costs, both of the card and postage. Thanks for mentioning that.
My mother had one of those pitchers with the built-in filter and loved it.
It is good to recycle and find ways not to use things like bottled water. I'm really bad about using bottled water for work. Glad the party was fun; hope we can see pictures of it soon!
