ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR TUESDAY, APRIL 28TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Blueberry Pie Day which celebrates the pie which has long been a favorite since the colonial era. Blueberry season begins in May and ends late summer so the blueberry pie is a perennial favorite at Fourth of July celebrations.
Maine produces more blueberries than any other state in the US. In fact 25 percent of all low bush blueberries grown in North American come from Main. That makes the New England state the largest producer of blueberries in the world.
To celebrate, buy or make your own tasty blue berry pie today!
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I found my thrill on Blueberry Hill.
Fats Dominio
Sad to say the only blueberries I have here at my house are in my yogurt. There are none in my pantry or freezer, but they are now on my grocery list.
And I do have a recipe to share for my favorite kind of pie today.
Impossible Blueberry Pie
1 1/2 c blueberries
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
4 tbsp. butter
1 c. biscuit making mix/ bisquick
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c sugar
vanilla ice cream, optional
Grease a pie plate and put in the blueberries. Sprinkle with lemon juice and vanilla and set aside.
Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon and butter together in a bowl and put overtop of blueberries.
In another bowl beat the biscuit mix, sugar and milk together and pour over the blueberry and crumble mix.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until it is browned and set.
Serve warm or cold, but best served warm from the oven with vanilla ice cream.
Blueberries are good for you and could help fight aging, combat disease, lower blood pressure , protect the heart and brain and even boost your memory.
Research has shown that eating blueberries may help combat cardiovascular disease. They reduce atherosclerosis. They prevent bacteria that causes unitary infections. They also have possible cholesterol lowering effects. And they are good to enjoy most any time of year.
I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
