ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is MARCH Forth and Do Something Day which encourages people to do something new that enriches their own lives or lives of people in their community.
The name of this unofficial holiday plays on the words, march fourth, which sounds like march forth, an expression to convey action and moving forward.
March fourth and march forth are homophones , words or expressions that pronounced alike, but have different meanings. Homographs on the other hand are words or expressions that are spelled the same way but have different meanings. They are both types of homonyms.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
March! March! March! They are coming
In troops to the tune of the wind.
Redheaded woodpeckers drumming,
Gold-crested thrushes behind;
Sparrows in brown jackets, hopping
Past every gateway and door;
Finches, with crimson caps stopping
Just where they stopped before.
March! March! March! They are slipping
into their places at last…
Literature while lily buds, dripping
Under the showers that fail fast
Buttercups, violets, roses’
Snowdrop and bluebell and pink.
throng the dew drops to drink
March March! March! They will hurry
Forth at the wild bugle sound,
Blossoms and birds in a flurry,
Fluttering all over the ground.
Shake out your flags, birch and willow!
Grass blades.up from your earth- pillow
Hear who’s is calling you.. . . March.
Lucy Larcom
With the coming of Spring all the earth seems to be on the march. The land is waking up after a long winter. We’ll be moving forward in one way or the other. Don’t forget to move you clocks ahead one hour Saturday night. Daylight Savings time begins on Sunday, March 8th
This is definitely my favorite seasons of the year. It’s so wonderful to see warmer days ahead. But we can still have a chance for snow. St. Patriks day often brings a snow storm with it.
The pictures today are of a walk we took through one of our local parks in the spring a few years ago. It was wonderful to be outside to see everything blooming.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The year’s at the Spring
And the day’s at the morn;
Morning’s at seven;
The hillside’s dew pearled;
The lark’s on the wing;
The snail’s on the thorn
God’s in His heaven -
All’s right with the world!
Robert Browning
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
7907.for the ënd of Winter and beginning of Spring
7908. for new life, birds and flowers
7909. for green grass growing
.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

March forth on March 4th, do something special!
What a pretty park! Given our rain-soaked earth, I'd better tip-toe than attempt to March forth and sink in the mud! Happy Hump Day!
Those pictures were pretty from your walk several years ago, Ma! Soon green will be coming back to your neck of the woods! I didn't remember what a homophone was so thanks for the English lesson :)

Temperatures already feel a lot like spring here, but we've had so much rain this year, we may need to build an ark soon. :)
Love the poem you used for today and it is so true!!! Spring has sprung in Texas!!
