ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR FRIDAY, MARCH 27TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

May the dear Lord bless you both today and always !
Today is also Quirky Country Music Song Titles Day! What county music song always puts a smile on your Face? Perhaps it’s Johnny Cash’s “Every time I itch I wind up Scratching you.” Kenny Chesney’s ’She thinks My Tractor is Sexy’ or homer and Jethro’s ’She Makes Toothpicks Out of the Timber of my Heart’. Today is the day to pay tribute to these uniques songs.
Country music evolved from Appalachian folk music in the 1920’s and became a nationwide sensation in the 1940’s. The Grand Ole Opry radio station in Nashville, Tennessee began producing weekly concerts that showcased all the different genres of country music: hillbilly, honky tonk, bluegrass, western, rockabilly, gospel and more
In honor of today’s reason to celebrate, put on your cowboy hat, get out your banjo an d belt out your favorite quirky country music song!
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A happy marriage is a long conversation that always seems too short.

This son and DIL and their family live very far away so I won’t be doing any celebrating with them today, but as always a card will be sent in the mail with love and congratulations. I am a firm believer in marriage and had a happy one myself so am happy they have another anniversary to celebrate.
I love country music and have it playing on the radio most every day. I enjoy it more than most any kind of music. She thinks MY Tractor is Sexy is playing on the radio right now causing me to smile.
A lot of country songs tell stories about real life and maybe that’s why I like it so much. I’m so very thankful that we were able to visit with DS#4 and his wife on our Christmas family vacation this past year and to also celebrate the new year 2020 with them. Little did we know what 2020 was to bring our way.
I Hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!

Happy ☺ Anniversary 🌹
Happy Anniversary to DS#4 and company! :)
When you asked, "What country song always puts a smile on your face?" the first thing that came to mind was, "Drop Kick me Jesus (Through the Goal Posts of Life)." Haven't heard it in a 100 years, but there you are. I enjoy most genres of music, but Country is probably my favorite. So neat how many songs tell stories. Another favorite?, "What's Your Momma's Name Child?" Great post!
I am so happy y'all had that time together!! I had no clue you liked country music! So do I! Love me some Kenny Chesney!! I listen to classical a lot but when I need to perk up - I crank up the country! Today I am putting on some Don Williams, Statler Brothers, Alan Jackson, Keith Urban and Willie Nelson!
MA said it well.
Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson always capture my heart.
Happy anniversary to your son and DIL! Wishing them many more years together! I don't listen to much country music but the little I do I do enjoy!
