ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 8TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today most of us will begin Daylight Savings Time. The clocks spring forward by shifting the time forward an hour so that evenings will have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in Autumn.
The idea of Daylight Savings Time was first implemented during the first World War. Many countries have used it a various times since then. The practice has been praised and criticized. Adding daylight to the evenings benefits retailing, sports and other activities that exploit sunlight after working hours. Although an early goal of DST was to reduce evening usage of incadecent lighting, formerly a primary use of electricity. Modern heating and cooling usage patterns different greatly, and research about Daylight Savings time currently affects energy use is limited or condratictory.
Spring Forward !
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I don’t mind going back to daylight savings time. With inflation, the hour will be the only thing I’ve saved all year.
Victor Borge
I’m up on time this morning and not missing the hour of sleep we lost last night, because I went to bed an hour earlier last night. The time switch is often hard to take. Our bodies take time to adjust. It wouldn’t seem that one hour could make such a difference, but it does. DST clock shifts other challenges. They complicate timekeeping, medical devices, heavy equipment and sleep patterns. Software can often adust computer clocks automatically, but this can be limited. My phone also changes time automatically, but the other clocks here like the one on the toaster, the coffee maker, the stove and my toaster oven, I have to change myself. What a bother. But it’s easier to go ahead one hour than to set them back an hour.
It’s my birthday today and I feel like I’ve been given a gift of an extra hour at the end of the day. I’m so affected by the daylight. It’s like I feel like going to bed when it gets dark out. So I’m thankful for an extra hour at the end of the day. I’ll be able to stay awake and enjoy it a little more each day, until fall when we change again. The longest day of the year is Summer and then we start loosing time again one minute at a time.
Whether you like it or not it’s here so we might as well enjoy it while we can.
I hope you all have RELAXING Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Happy Birthday! I am not a fan of the spring time change, but I will enjoy it being light out longer of an evening. I personally, enjoy the early morning light!
Happy ☺ Birthday 🎂 🌹🐞
Happy birthday Ma!! Loved all the pictures. I hope you have a great day ahead and a fantastic year as well! My phone updated with an hour later. It sprang forward even though we don't in Arizona. I had to manually adjust the time on it. Good idea to go to bed an hour earlier last night Ma! Enjoy the extra light tonight!
